Handy for nickle allergy sufferers
Apparently, invented for bass players, here I'll address the viability for left hand fretting on an acoustic steel string guitar.Purchased due to severe nickle allergy. Instead of refretting all my favorite guitars (hands shredded bc nickle is toxic to me), figured I'd give this glove a try. Chose basic black. On the size chart I'm borderline small to regular. Ordered Xtra small. Pretty tight snug fit where I want it to be. Tips of fingers. Finger length is just about spot on. Pinky is slightly too short, but only by a hair. Is it a second skin. Not exactly, however it's relatively close, given it's stated purpose.Feels pretty weird at first, which should be expected. Not weird bad just "oh, this is a bit different." It's comfortable, and you can slide (on the neck) a bit more smoothly. Like coated dental floss heh. Also there's a bit of sonic adjustment required regarding tonality from finger/glove material on string (as opposed to flesh), however it's minor.Putting the glove to the strictest test concerning how usable it is (for me), involved the following. Placement of pinky on second fret high E string and ring finger on 2nd fret B string. Do they rub together, do they mute the notes? Pinky on 2nd fret high E string, Ring finger on 2nd fret G string, open B string btwn. Do pinky or ring rub against and mute the open B string?Thankfully, the answer to the above questions are mostly negative. For the most part, the glove does not interfere with granular micro fingerings on the most delicate strings. Every so often you will need to readjust the arc of your fretting hand to compensate for the additional thickness. However, it's not that often and isn't game breaking. Conclusion, for nickle allergy sufferers this glove is an excellent product. I'd like to see future iterations even thinner and more second-skin like. However, this current version is usable and doesn't make playing unenjoyable. Therefore, I give it 5 stars (really about 4 1/2), bc the glove, and the material it's fabricated from allow me to continue doing what I love. Playing the axe!

Comfortable
I got this glove because I have difficulties holding down certain chords on the guitar. The gloves make it much easier to play. It's comfortable and fits perfect. I would recommend this for anyone that plays the guitar for long periods of time and for new players wanting to try difficult chords.

great for playing the bass
After seeing one of my favorite bass players wearing and using this glove, I purchased one as well. Wow, it makes it so much easier to play, but removing the friction between fingers and instrument strings. I have recommended this to other bassists as well. They are comfortable and do not get in the way at all. Just make sure to measure your fingers per the instructions on the ordering page. They need to be snug with no bulges.

SITE DEFAULTS TO XS
If you select the size first (in my case XL) and then select the color, THE SITE DEFAULTS TO XS! I didn't notice this, and I ended up with the smallest glove I've ever seen!

Not helpful
Liked the Fit, but made no difference wearing the glove. Still pain. No way around Calloused fingertips.

Perfect for plucking / fretting on Bass Guitar!
Loved the size! Got an XS and it does stretch a BIT after playing with them for a while - but just wash and I intentionally dried with heat in the dryer to shrink them back down to almost an XXS, as XS fit but for my very petite hands, XXS is closer to the 2nd skin feel! I don’t play with them all the time, but they come in handy when my fingers are recovering fromMajor soreness and or blisters! They help with friction issues when sliding on the fretting hand too to play smoother, and definitely they are great when the weather is COLD and dry! Great quality and value for the price! Would / prob will buy another pair again!

Great Invention
About to order my 3rd pair. I play the bass and like to move around the neck quickly. Normally this is not a problem, but if you're playing outside or in a club without good airflow the high humidity makes the neck and strings clammy enough that quick movement can be difficult. These gloves fit like a second skin, don't catch on the strings (round or flat wound), stay dry inside and actually help me with muting the adjacent strings. I have a white pair I use only for practice to prevent M Jackson comments and a tan pair for gigs when needed. Wish they came in light gray.

Not perfect, but it has been helpful
I bought this glove for just under £10 a couple of months ago and thought it was a bit expensive to be honest. Does it work? Well, yes and no. If your fingertips are sore, the glove is a brilliant help - you'll find yourself being able to practise for much longer than usual. If you're a beginner, you'll be able to build up calluses without pain.My problem is I've had a bit of a skin allergy on my index finger (probably to nickel) - and I hoped the glove would help it to heal while I gave my fingers a break from touching the strings directly. It hasn't done that - the skin is still damaged but I have been able to practise for longer. In terms of sizing, get the smallest size possible to ensure the fabric is snug on your fingertips, otherwise you'll not be able to fret as cleanly. Will it last a long time? Probably not, as I can see the fabric is starting to look very slightly stretched now on the middle finger. Still, I have been using it daily for the past two months, playing my acoustic six-string guitars and even my 12-string without any problems. All in all, I do recommend it.

brilliant solution for my nickel allergy
I've been using my glove for about 6 months and it's only just recently started to wear away on one finger. Depending on how often you play or practice and what style, string thickness etc will affect how long it lasts for you. They feel a bit strange at first but you get used to it, not too thick and not too thin. Would highly recommend

Very good glove for bass guitar
I ordered a first glove in size XS (one size smaller, as recommended by the manufacturer), but it's actually a bit small for me. So I ordered another one in size S (my size) and it fits perfectly! I use the XS glove on my plucking hand, and the S glove on my fretting hand. No problem to report as for now! The gloves feel good, improve the sound and therefore my bass playing. Love them!

works great for bass AND guitar
Have been playing for20 years and was a bit skeptic about buying them but a cut and the cold made it uncomfortable to play. This glove works great!!!!

Great value for the money.
This product shocked me I did not believe that it would do what it said but it fits like it says I can play like it says and you can play with the glove on so I'm going to buy a few more I'm going to buy two more just as doubles, I got the first glove which is illustrated in the picture on October 9th now as you see in the pictures a couple of my fingers are starting to wear thin so that's why I decided to buy an extra pair an extra glove and I will buy an extra glove buy one more but they are a good product yes
