I have used a number of journal styles and this style seems to fit my needs the best. A little more than I would normally spend, but I believe this is worth every penny!These are very nice, rustic, well-constructed books. I like the REAL leather cover and lace binding and page grouping. These seem very rugged , however, should be handled with care.The Good: The paper is of good quality stock. Good quality leather cover and wrap-around. Smells like quality leather and is a pleasure to write in.The Bad: Nothing. I cannot find anything negative to say about this.I would recommend these journals and for writers who like rustic leather, writing on quality paper, and the feel of history.I give this a 5-Star rating.*This is my honest, unbiased review.

Beautiful journal cover, decent paper. The structure inside is of several mini booklets of paper. That's pretty normal for a journal like this, but these are stiff enough that they can make the writing a little weird at times. The cover is truly beautiful and very soft and supple.

Very soft leather, fountain pen didn't bleed through the pages.
