No more lost pens pencils all clipped to diarye

I purchased these stainless steel pen holders thinking that I could attach a couple of these in my office and a couple by the telephone so that you always got a pen handy for taking down notes and other important information. So I thought that these would come with a sticky pad on the back so that you could attach them to the wall and then insert your pen in the springy bit that stretches to accommodate the pen.I know it says that they are for a clipboard but it also says they are Universal so I thought I would have been able to attach them either using the clip, or attach them with a sticky pad on the back and then hang them on a wall or other vertical surface. Due to the way they are designed, the back is not flat so even if you do put a sticky pad on the back (which is what I attempted) they just don't stay put because there's just not enough surface area that is flat and stuck to the wall.Even for use on a clipboard the clip on the back is so small that if you do actually manage to slide it onto the clipboard, it just slides back off again. So overall these just aren't fit for purpose and are a complete waste of money.

just completely the wrong design. pen sits along the axis of the clip, meaning that at all time part of the pin stick out from the top or side of your clipboard, catching on everything. Pen holder should be at 90 degrees to the clip so pen can sit within the boundary of the clip board. Additionally, the clip itself is not wide enough for a normal thickness clipboard - must have been designed for thin cardboard clipboards.bad, just bad.
