Exel IV administration Set (Set of 5) (60 DP/ML Luer Slip)

They are for my 17-year-old cat. They are well-made and easy to use. The price is lower than from other pet supply stores.

Needed this set to help administer a subcutaneous solution to our elderly dog. It works just fine with the IV bag and needles. Will buy more as the need arises.

I had to get this to get my cat fluids while he was ill. I've used I sets in a hospital for decades, so I'm pretty familiar with what makes them really useable. This set is. It has a good way to stop the flow without having to clamp it with the roller so you can stop and start it at the same rate easily, and it has an injection port close to the end so you can inject medications inline if you need to. This is the sort of set hospital personnel use. There are some sets that don't have injection ports or a downline clamp, so if those are features that you would find useful, this is the set to get. Plus it's really economical so, if like me, you want to be sure your set is at least clean and change it between bags, this is a good choice. A lot less than the vet, who charged me $25 for a single set. Ouch.

It works as intended. I administer subcut fluids to my cat with CKD. She’s calm, stays put, and looks out the window whenever I give her fluids.I haven’t experienced where the needle slips out due to lack of a luer lock, though having one would be great, especially if it’s going to be used for longer administration eg whole bag/needle administration vs quick 100mL/needle administration if this makes senseThe length is a little short, but my IV pole is close so it’s not quite a problem.

These come with no Luer lock clamp to secure into the IV catheter making them completely unusable
