Delightful Romp
This series is simply charming. It needs to be read in order but each one is a gem. I love her use of language and innuendo -great fun. Reminiscent of the Parasol Protectorate for me which I thoroughly enjoyed and was looking for a read on series. You will meet previous characters in the first two books but these two are spies that melt hearts. As well as their own.

Even Better
LOOOVED this third installment in the Dangerous Damsels series. I think this is the best one personally! The world building and characters are really solidified and I absolutely loved our two main leads. I was obsessed with Bixby in the second book so I was over the moon that he was our lead in this one! And Alice is a wonderful female lead. I really loved both of their perspectives they brought to this world. I absolutely loved this couple the most out of the books but each one was perfect. So whimsical and fun! I loved this world! I really am looking forward to the authors new book/series? coming out in the summer. She is definitely an automatic buy for me now! Pick up this series and stick with it (the first book was a little confusing for me at first...I was a little slow on picking up the humor and the world is hard to wrap your brain around at first) it is soooo worth it. A++ reading!

3.75 stars of Delights
It took me several weeks to get through this book. It's wonderfully written with vivid characters, and a fast-moving plot. Once I stopped trying to have things make any sense, I was able to enjoy the book for the wild ride of a romp it is. Or was it a gallop? The story is supposed to be Victorian-set, I believe, but there were lots of steam-punky and contemporary elements - phrases, words, concepts, etc. The love scene was one of THE most inventive, funny and yet tender love scenes I've ever read. And there were some lovely poignant moments as well as tons of hysterically funny bits. In fact, most of the book was hilarious. I loved the ending chapters. If you're ready to forget suspension of disbelief and just hop on board for an exuberant flight of fancy, I highly recommend this book!

Very cute and whimsical
This is the third book in a series, the first two really set the scene for the characters and style of book, I would definitely read them in order. I love the series because it is very tongue in cheek goofy and whimsical and hilarious. The characters are so much fun. It’s a world where the pirates are the nice ladies in the tea parlor and as they leave they are “personally acquiring” your favorite pocket watch. Then they take off in their battle houses piloted with magic. (Yes, flying houses.) Their favorite pastimes are trying to assassinate each other (right of passage), trying to steal each others treasures (and everyone else’s for that matter), and underestimating the “help”. That is where you find yourself in this book, a secret agency that helps “control” and maintain the pirates by way of maids and butlers. Agent A and B are sent on a mission that finds them in the middle of the lions den with only each other to count on. 007 meets Pride and Predjudice meets Pirates of the Caribbean. Kinda. Whatever the case buy all three books and you will not be disappointed!

Brilliant
The Secret Service of Tea and Treason is a brilliant finale to the Dangerous Damsels series. I was excited when I learned that Alice and particularly Bixby were the main characters of this book. It is a romp involving secret agents, pirates, witches, forced proximity, fake marriage, possible assassination attempts on Queen Victoria, conga lines, deadly butlers, and much more of the wonderful chaos that India Holton writes masterfully. The romance is affecting, with two lonely love interests who start to learn that maybe they don’t have to be alone. I don’t want to say too much, because I don’t want to mess up the full enjoyment of the developing story.I listened to the audiobook. Elizabeth Knowelden did a fantastic job. She adds another level to the story for me.I love this series, and I loved this book. The whole series is on my reread list. Just so, so good and so, so funny.

A pezzi per due volte di fila
Libro numero uno. Arriva a pezzi. Faccio il reso con sostituzione. Libro numero due arriva oggi. Disgustoso, marcio, a pezzi più del primo. Lo rendo e mi è passata la voglia di averlo in casa. Mai più.

once again I’m smitten
I loved it!! It was so funny and cute, like the first two! I really enjoy the fact that each books manage to be very different but I still feel like I’m going back to a very kooky family reunion with all the characters that I love! The main characters in this book are a bit different, but as endearing as the other, maybe even more so because of their backstory. If you haven’t started this series, jump, run and go start it!!

The secret Service of Tea and Treason.
The third book is about Daniel Bixby who worked for Alex O'Riley as a butler for three years. He has a chance encounter with Alice Dearlove who worked for the pirate Mrs Chile at the time. Both Daniel and Alice work for esecrets service company called A.U.N.T. They are placed on a project to stop a possible assassination plot against Queen Victoria. Most of the action takes place at Starkthorn Castle, when Daniel and Alice go under cover as husband and wife. There follows tooing and frowing with crazy pirate games and the attempt by Daniel and Alice to find the weapon. Eventually the A.U.N.T team are exposed to the pirates who chase them though the castle. Daniel tells Alice to go out to their flying shed where he will follow. When she gets there she finds the mad doctor who has a bomb hidden in the shed. He takes off heading towards London. Daniel gets help from Alex, Ned and their wives and they chase after the stolen shed, manage to get Alice off it before it crashes with the mad Doctor. Daniel and Alice are forced to return to A.U.N.T and are separated on to different assignments. Eventually with Alex and Ned's help Daniel manages to get Aice away from the secret service and they become consultants in security services.
