It tunes my guitar
It's easy to use and seems to be pretty sturdy. I like that you can tune your guitar with other people turning in the same room since it uses vibration through the headstock rather than sound. It also has a setting for guitar or chromatic (and a couple other instruments), so alternate tunings are easy. I use it daily and the first battery lasted about a year.

This tuner is convenient to use and serves the intended purpose.
The adjustable clip on feature makes it very convenient to keep my guitars in tune. Accuracy is good, and it is fairly easy to read.

Worked great until it didn’t
After putting in the battery which is a round flat battery I believe 2032, but don’t remember for sure, the tuner lit up and worked great. Then when I went to tune it again after playing a few times, it started acting up and not showing the correct chords and jumping all around. Replaced the battery and still not correct. Ended up breaking a 6th string due to it not reading correctly. I was able to return it though. Fender makes great products, think I had a lemon.

Has a tiny screen
Nice little unit, but the screen is very small. Didn't think the small measurement would matter much, but it did. Unit did work well. 4 stars as a result.

A nice little clip-on tuner
Out of the box, it's straightforward to set up and use. Quickly press the On-Off button to turn on. Press and hold the button until the unit turns off. Because there is only a single button to operate the tuner, the On-Off button, holding the button to turn it off is necessary. That's because the same button is used to select chromatic tuning or the type of instrument that you're tuning for.The On-Off button works fine for me. And I like the adjustable, easy-to-read display. The ability to tune to a particular instrument's open string without having to think about pitch frequency is rather handy, I suppose. I first set mine for guitar, 'G.' The tuner identifies the open string and you just have to tune your instrument to pitch. And if you're going to further check intonation at the 12th fret, you'll then have to set the tuner to 'C' for chromatic. Otherwise, you'll get inaccurate readings. The only thing I don't quite like is the rather small clip. It's a little challenging to fit onto some instruments. But the clip metal looks pretty sturdy, better than the clips I've see on a Snark. At some point in time, I'd expect this clip to fail. The same has already happened to my previous Snark. But I expect the Fender clip to long outlast the other brand. For the money, this tuner is hard to beat.

Simple, efficient, no-brainer
I have the small "flash" version, and am using it primarily for bass guitars. The flash version is the one to get - it doesn't require battery changes, and all you have to do is charge it with a USB cable once every few months or so (they supply the cable, too). Doesn't take long to charge.Operation is simple: attach it to the guitar head. Little rubber grippy feet and the spring action are great. Hold power button for 2 seconds to turn it on (smart move, since this thing will probably get thrown into gig bags and be knocked around, and the 2 second hold prevents accidental activation, and therefore unnecessary battery drain). Strike an open note, and you'll see it spring to life, telling you its best guess for the string you're on, and whether you're sharp or flat with a floating orange meter. When you're done, hit the power button again, or just set it down and it will shut itself off after a while. Charger is USB standard.I not only tune my basses at the open strings, but also tune them at the 12th fret (+1 octave) to make sure my saddles are properly situated, and this one does the job just fine with octave intervals as well. It also works great for my five and six string basses, and will pick up on the low B and high C just fine. Also, be sure you adequately mute all other strings when tuning, or this thing could get confused once the other string begins to resonate. Also, if your action is too low, such that you get some fret buzz on an open string, it can likewise get confused, but most bass players don't lower their action that much anyway. Just be advised if you have some fret buzz on an open string from poor saddle height, bent neck, or what have you, tuning will be difficult with this thing.Only thing that this doesn't do, at least as far as I can tell, is allow for drop tuning at the half step. So, if you wanted to tune your bass to Eb, Ab, Db, and Gb (or even at the quarter step), this little gizmo isn't all that straightforward on the display to show you just how flat or sharp you are from the root note. This is a bit of a problem for me, because I tune my fretless bass one quarter step higher than the standard tuning, so that I can fret the note just behind the fret line, like one would with a fretted neck. Maybe I just haven't figured out how to read it properly, but for the standard tunings, the signal will turn blue when you're tuned properly.Haven't tried the other instrument tuners yet (guitar, violin, etc.), but I'm sure they work just as well as this one does.Highly recommended if you hate changing batteries and want something small and effective. Five stars.

Works really well.
Easy to read. Precise, steady display. Checked against my Korg CA-40. Same result. Big screen means a bigger unit of course so some people might find the Flash a bit clunky. You can't slide it under the strings just behind the nut like Micro tuner but i can see everything clearly -- even without my reading glasses.

Bref, j'aime cet accordeur.
