All Day Long, God Loves Me (Best of Li’l Buddies)

This books drawings are very cute. That’s about it for the pros. It is insanely small like 6 folds of hard cardboard. I understand this is for a very young child but it’s like they didn’t even try. The rhymes are not very good or thought out. “God loves me when I see you” Is one of the pages. I’m guessing that was just thrown in there to rhyme with peek-a-boo because kids like that game. “What does that mean?” asks the 4 year old looking at me the first time I read it to her. I honestly had to think to explain it because I was fully stumped. I guess it’s my fault for expecting some more content or Biblical references. I fear reading it to a child multiple times would cause them to form poor grammar. Basically they put God on the front of it and used religion to get us to buy this book. This was promptly thrown in the trash and we went to the local Christian bookstore and bought a better book. I know that “it’s just a children’s book” and “it’s just supposed to be cute and read to kids” but shouldn’t we want better for our kids than this?

I liked everything about the book except at the end it refers to the character saying good night Skyler but it never introduces him so my kids just wanted to know why I was calling him Skyler 🤷

Book doesn't make sense. "God loves me when I see you". What does that mean? Poor story telling quality & art work (blah colors, birds talking, eating pasta and dumping it on their head). Last page: "sweet dreams Baby Skyler". Who is Skyler? Would of been good place to fill-in the blank with the child's name. Not what I was hoping for. Birds fly yes, but do they talk, eat spaghetti and "ask God why?" Why can't we just convey to kids like they understand in ways that are real? Wouldn't buy again/recommend. Board book quality good for little hands. It's like it was written in another language and translated.

I am returning this book. I never saw an age group for this book, but it looks like something you would read to a baby except a baby wouldn't being able to understand who God is. It just has a few words on each page and I don't see any benefit from it whatsoever.I ordered another one in the series "God Made Me" and same opinion on that one. The only positives to each is that the colors and illustrations are good but their just way to simple for even the youngest of toddlers.

Grandson has us read this numerous times a day to him. You can never start too young talking about God's amazing unconditional love❤️

My husband asked if this was supposed to be a personalized book and they messed up. I went over to see what hes talking about and it says “sweet dreams baby skyler” - I guess the bird is named skyler lol very random

This book has little to no substance. Doesn’t really make sense on some pages and doesn’t really acknowledge a real religion. Waste of money.

Great grandchildren love the book. Easy to read and understand. Very colorful, well written. Will be cherished in their library.

This had great potential but falls short of what I expected. The pictures are absolutely beautiful! It’s almost too simple and the fact that they say good night baby skyler at the end ruins it a bit for me. Why not just keep it blank and say “good night baby ____!” so you can your child’s name? Especially since it’s states no where that the birds name is skyler until the end making it sounds like a cheesy out of ideas add on.

We purchased this for our granddaughter for Christmas. It is a lovely book with good illustrations and story. Would recommend.

Such a sweet little book. My 9 month old loves it. He laughs the couple times I've read it to him. It's not a funny book, but maybe it's the pretty colors or pictures that makes him happy. We are doing baby led weaning, so I love that they are eating pasta.

I didn't like that the book included a name for the bird

I did not dislike anything I bought the book to read to my children and they love it
