Shrinking Violet
My Review: Violet’s Gran is crazy about puzzles and when she visits she does loads of crosswords and word searches with her. This time this puzzle was about Ancient Egypt and very tricky, because there was no list of the hidden words or clues to guide them. While thinking of clues Violet read the fine print below the puzzle “Win an all expenses paid cruise down the Nile and take part in an archaeological dig at a real Ancient Egyptian temple.” After finding the missing word, Violet was so excited but she had to wait and not get her hopes up.After a few days while out with Gran, Gran picked up a copy of Solved It! And found out that they have won a family trip for four to sail down the Nile and take part Ancient Egyptian archaeological dig.Violet was so happy but praying at the same time not to shrink for people will see her disappear in front of their eyes. When no one was looking Violet shrink to a size of a train ticket and cartwheel across the table in delight. Gran scooped her up and popped her into her pocket.Take a journey with Violet to Egypt as she takes time out spy on the other tourists, solving mysteries and sneaking into hidden places at the museum and more all while shrinking to a tiny person.Disclaimer: As per FTC guidelines, I received a copy of this book from Gone Reading in exchange for my honest review. Disappointed
Rather a disappointment after the previous two. The conspiratorial aspect makes the story tail-off, the absence of the protagonist's best friend causes the story to lose potential and the illustrator missed a trick with their choice of scene portrayal.

More Violet please! We have read them all!!
Shrinking Violet rocks! We love these stories in our house - entertaining, full of twists and turns and suspense. Makes bedtime story time a fight between Mum and Dad to see whose turn it is!
