Beautiful - Tasty - Authentic - Nutritional!
Karla is the Real Deal - she is very skilled, knowledgeable and experienced with plant based food. This book is so lovely. The photos and stories are beautiful and the food is so clearly spelled out - very clear recipes, instructions, nutritional information! Lovely personal stories accompany each recipe too - not too long, just nice and touching. So far everything I've made is delicious! From homemade adobo and dressings to Banana Bread (YUM) to Chickpea Patties to Arroz Congri (Black Bean Rice) and Arroz Verde (Gree Rice) Delicious!! I plan to continue working my way through each recipe and returning to so many that are marked. This is a book you will not let sit on the shelf, but you'll actually be using!

Wtf just happened to my life
Wow. Wow. Just wow. Amazing recipes. My life has changed. I got this book a few days ago. I've tried at least 8 or 9 recipes. They were all soooo good. Easy to make. I can get around a kitchen but I'm no chef and I could make the recipes I've tried quite easily. I added things here or there. Cut up fire roasted corn in the corn fritters or go crazy and add some Paprika to the green rice. A bonus for me, maybe not for everyone, but my partner is an omnivore and he enjoyed the recipes I made for him and it was also easy to incorporate some sort of meat for my partner. It wasn't off or anything. I was able to make the plant based meal plus a meat side for my partner and it seemed to go together. I have over 40 plant based cookbooks and this book fast tracked its way to the #1 book I own. So happy I purchased it. Will purchase for friends and family that can use some tasty recipes in their life whether they are vegan or omnivore.

Easy to follow recipes with nutrition facts!!
This cookbook is well organized, includes pantry must-haves and kitchen essentials. I especially love the way Karla includes personalized stories and nutrition facts with each recipe. These recipes are quick and easy to follow which is helpful for a novice home cook like me. I look forward to trying a new recipe every week. I highly recommend this cookbook!Update- 5/1/23- since my original post I have made about 10 recipes and they were all so delicious!! My non plant based family has loved everything. Last night I made the Tofu "Bistec" en salsa pg 110 and the "Arroz Verde" pg 70. So flavorful and again rave reviews from family who are not necessarily fans of tofu. The arroz verde is definitely a fave and has been made several times. This is honestly the best cookbook I have experienced and it really has me excited each week to cook my own meals!!

FLAVOR GALORE!
I’ve been trying to provide more meatless meals for my family. I had no idea vegan recipes could taste so good! These recipes are delicious, packed with flavor and present beautifully too. I love down to earth authentic “home style” recipes and this cook book does not disappoint! The author shares not only easy to follow recipes, but the beautiful connection to family & friends a good meal inspires. Gorgeous photographs, well defined instructions with a pinch of nostalgia….beautifully done!

Love this cookbook!
The instructions allow for exact replication of the recipes. The author did an excellent job “translating” traditional Puerto Rican and Latin cuisine into plant based recipes for those interested in healthy eating without sacrificing taste or culture. My arroz con gandules was absolutely delicious!!! Don’t hesitate and get your copy!
