Great - does not make me nauseous like non- organic tea. Rant about GMO's and cancer.
I swear there is something in non-organic tea that makes me nauseas. Every time without fail hot tea makes me feel like puking about 20 minutes after i drink it. other people have this issue - i have read online about it and it is blamed on tannins or something. i dont believe that. When i drink organic tea this doesnt happen. Im concluding it is some pesticide or herbicide or gmo thing. Most of our food suppy anymore is made with genetically modified crops (GMO). They are modified by scientists to increase profits by making farming issues easier and cheaper to deal with. Some GMO crops have genes from bacteria or viruses inserted in them to release toxins to kill insects. The problem is when we eat the food made by those crops we ingest those same toxins. Some GMO crops are designed to be able to live even when sprayed with weed killer -namely Roundup. Roundup is a known carcinogen. What happens - beside whatever side effects the inserted genes have on us - is that the factory farms then spray loads of Roundup on the crops and thes chemicals stay on and in the crops and we eat them. The weed killer chemical is glyphosate and is found in most foods we eat. This chemical causes cancer and other health issues like digestion and hormonal issues and chemical imbalances in the bodies of us and the livestock that eat he crops and the chemicals get into the soil and the water and have chain reactions. Farmers have been farming for tens of thousands of years without these things - we have been eating toxic food since just 1996 (steadily increasing - new gmo crops come out very few years). If you eat meat, you are getting not only chemicals from the grains and veggies you eat, you are getting them in the meat you eat as well. This is all proven science. Why dont we ban them? Money. Monsanto pretty much makes all out food. They make billions on these technologies and make normal non toxic crops twice as expensive. These gmo crops drive the price of non-toxic food up - organic food that is not part virus, that does not release toxins into humans and animals, that does not give animals cancer and numerous health issues, is now expensive, something that was not 30 years ago. Normal (non-factory) farms feel increased pressure to keep up with the genetically modified factory farm because giant farming companies can make things cheaper and sell it cheaper with these toxic cheats. Like i said humans have been farming tens of thousands of years without these things, they are just a cheat to increase profits and anything they say otherwise is lies. GMO's are being banned in other countries but they wont be banned here anytime soon because Monsonto runs the food supply here basically, and they buy politicians and deceptive studies in order to keep their stockholders happy. If any of this seems far-fetched, google it. and from reputable sources. i have seen tons of propaganda online - a lot of it is trying to convince people that GMO's and hybrid plants - natural plants bred with other plants to achieve certain characteristics - is the same thing. they are not even close but that is what they want you to believe. Like i said this is all factual. GMO's have not even been studied long term and the only short term studies showing how safe they are are done by the companies that make money off of them. Roundup is proven to cause cancer, and it is in, now , most of our food. Google it. Support organic farming when you can, even if it costs a few dollars more for something. Support local, support humane, support natural when you can. I even feel bad for our pets that are fed much worse and much more toxic food than we are - petst dying from dog food is terrifyingly common. i found one organic dog food called castor and pollux and it is like 20 bucks for a medium sized bag, cheaper than orijen. eat organic for a month and you will feel better, i promise you.

Ordered 100 received 40
I placed an order for a box of 100 tea bags and received a box of 40 tea bags. $9.95 isn't worth my effort of packaging it up and sending it back. Very disappointing.

Didn’t Get What I Paid For
The listing was for a 100 pack, what I received was a 40 pack. As far as taste, I can’t distinguish it from any other green tea. I know it’s suppose to be organic but taste just like non organic.

Two staples for each individually wrapped teabag: paper waste, plus country of origin not stated
There is no explanation that I can see about where this tea comes from or what type of tea it is other than black tea. More importantly, organic but individually wrapped with a staple in each paper wrap plus the string stapled to the teabag? I can’t put this in compost that way; I have to manually remove two staples, which is not environmentally friendly.

Wish I could try it. Box came in with black
Item arrived with a blackish smear all over the box and on tea bags. I bought to give away to friends and family in letters and unfortunately will not be able to do that. I think it was an honest mistake and I went to contact the company to see if I could get a replacement and couldn't seem to be able to contact anyone about this item. I will have to throw away this tea and it's a waste.*I have not tasted it. But does seem to have a fresh tea smell! I think it would make a nice cup of tea. I am just too scared to try it.

Good quality tea, perhaps overquality?
The reason this product received 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the metal component on the teabag itself, which you will be able to taste due to a lingering metallic taste if you submerge the tea bag under water for a long time. I appreciate Newman's business model in which 100% of profits go to charity, and from that one can deduce that their products are of high quality (really, think about it), but perhaps they went overboard by using a metal component to clamp the teabag shut whereas other companies use micro-stitching or pressurized closing techniques to save money. Due to this metal component, I would advise people to not submerge this in hot water, but to dip the teabag until the desired concentration is reached and promptly discard the teabag otherwise you might taste metal in your tea. Other than that, this is good quality tea, and I have relatives who own a tea plantation in China and tea is a very big part of our lives.

100>40
Do be aware that this ad is misleading and you will be getting a 40 count box instead of 100 as advertised. Save yourself the phone call to customer service..For individuals purchasing this product for morale quote. The tea bags are not as pictured saying " Keep calm and drink tea". Instead they say 100% profits to charity.
