Imagine my surprise when a thickly-wrapped package arrived from Russia the other day. (I had forgotten I had ordered this for the kids. They wanted to try a Russian Winter MRE after watching "Crazy Russian Hacker" test one on YouTube!)First...the package was wrapped VERY TIGHTLY! Multiple layers of bubble wrap and a plastic outer covering secured by Russian Postal Service tape. Interesting. (Good job, Dmitry!)Open the box...and inside are three meals -- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. All items arrived in excellent shape. Nothing was broken or leaking or exploded. Bravo!Inside the box was soup (Chicken stock with Croutons), instant mashed potatoes, Peas/Carrots/Beef, Grits and Beef, and Corned Beef in individual tins with pop-tops. Also, cement-hard Russian Army crackers, fruit bar, apple butter, condensed milk, chocolate sauce, liver pate', beans and tomato sauce, cheese spread, and oatmeal cereal. Along with salt, sugar, plastic spoons, and heating tablets, matches, and a metal folding stand.We cooked the beef items on the stove top. Didn't feel like burning down the house with the heating tablets. The Peas/Carrots/Beef was nasty. Enough said. The Grits and Beef was pretty good...if a touch oily. The Corned Beef...WOW! Amazing! It was the best meal of the three! The soup was...okay...if a touch salty. The Croutons were too crunchy. My son devoured the mashed potatoes and called them the best thing in the box. The liver pate' smelled too bad to eat. The cheese spread didn't last long, as did the apple butter, chocolate sauce, crackers and condensed milk (in a squeezable packet).On the whole...the Russian Winter MRE in a snow-camo wrapping was a crowd pleaser. I can see why Russians are big guys. There's a lot of calories in this kit!(I read reviews about the supplier...and how more than a few customers complained about not getting their order. Mine took a while to get to me - ordered in August...arrived in October. I don't blame the supplier. It's probably the Russian Postal System.)

One of my favorite Russian rations besides the Special Forces Mountain ration which comes with the retort pouches. I neglected to take a picture of the entire ration but I just ordered another one (because it was that good) and will take pictures for that so everyone can see. It comes with three canned meals (fatty beef, veggies and meat, and rice and meat), canned cheese, pate, three hand warmers, chocolate, crackers, three dried food packages (mashed potatoes, chicken soup, and the third was a weird raspberry oatmeal dish), two drink mixes, powdered milk, and a pretty rare portion of condensed milk. I might be forgetting some things here and there such as the vitamin pill, water purification tablets, three spoons, and the coffee and tea. Overall this is an amazing ration and I definitely recommend it to anyone who has had Russian rations or even someone who may be new.

In the middle of eating this and ordered another regular daily ration from same seller I think. The food is amazingly tastey! I especially like the pasztet or liver paste. I didn't think I would like it but ended up loving it. Amazon needs to sell pasztet.. From Russia and Poland! It would sell!!! The crackers were stale but who cares. Fast shipping. THANK YOU!!

Received from Russia in good condition, and mre was within the date specified. Very satisfied, seller shipped fast, and item is exactly as described.I have tried a few Russian rations, the army, special forces and emerrcom rations. This winter ration is by far the best, and contains more food.Very satisfied.

I have now tried this yet but I got it today and I ordered it last week this came very quick and everything was there and nothing mess up. Well update

It's seems to be in good shape, some tiny crumbs inside from a torn bag of crackers and stuff seems sort of greasy. Chocolate spread was cracked at the bottom so that had to go, and one of the main meals had a tiny cut on top, sucks it got this way, but atleast that's the only issue. If you think about paying the price for one of these then be prepared for something like this.

I odered to boxs of these MRE's, nothing broke inside and the box's were in great shape.I give them a A+A+A+
