QCAA Heavier Duty Brass Door Hook Latch & Eye, 4", Vibrated Brass, Made in Taiwan, 1 Pack

I installed this just a bit ago to keep a large cupboard door closed - the air pressure from closing the door next to it would constantly pop the thing open, allowing the cats to slip in - and this latch worked like a charm! It had a nice weight without being too heavy for the lightweight wood it was getting screwed into and latches very smoothly, without being closed so securely that it's difficult to open the door at all.The latch itself looks nice, too. The antique copper looks just as it did in the photos, and the slightly worn look of it makes it look right at home on the door, noticeable without being too distracting.No comments about the little anchors that were provided - I didn't use them and don't have opinions to share for it! All nails and anchors were, however, accounted for in the packaging.Note to those who aren't intending to use these for such minor projects as I have;These are NOT heavy duty!They're not exactly flimsy, but if you need a tough latch that'd going to survive more than only a small amount of bang-up, I'd look elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend as long-term closure for, say, a stable door or anything.

Easy install. Color was spot on. Didn’t need the anchors because they were installed on wood cabinet doors to keep them from sliding. Sturdy. They look great, too!

I bought this to hold a door open enough to allow for airflow but closed enough to keep out a cat. The length is perfect for the purpose, though your results may vary depending on the size of your cat. This also looks much nicer than your typical galvanized hook and eye, which I appreciate.A magnet will attract the hook, so I question if it's solid brass, though the attraction is light enough that maybe the magnetic material is in the plating rather than the hook itself. (I'm skeptical but unwilling to cut one of these apart just to find out.) I'd also hesitate to call this "heavy duty" as the hook is too thin to hold up to any real abuse. Treat this as an attractive, affordable, convenient way for holding something closed against a breeze or a nosy small pet--not a security product.

The media could not be loaded.  I needed a lock for our old door that I recently refinished. We have copper hinges and I wanted a hook that would blend with them. I think this does the trick! There is a slight gap when the door is locked (see video) but it’s not enough to bother me. Could be a good thing with kids in the house because we can slip something in the gap to pop the lock off. Overall very pleased.

I bought these for a barn door enclosure. They were exactly as described, but the scale for my big doors really needed a bigger hook. I still ended up using them as a temporary fix and they work great
