Not sure what its supposed to be, vaguely spearmint. On the plus side, you can really only get the scent in the tin.Application is not especially easy. It scoops easy enough and takes some effort to break down in the hands before applying. You have to work fast too, and this is with dmap hair. Found it too hard to use in fuy dry hair.It then goes through a few phases; it takes 10 or 20 mins to matte down, then it feels crispy, like helmet head. After another hour or so, this goes away and you're left with soft manageable hair with a medium hold that lasts the day.My hairThick, dry, coarse, wavy and very unruly.OverallThis is not a bad product but honestly for almost 20e, you have a world of choice of way better products out there. If this cost 8e, I would probably go for Johnny chop shop clay over it. At this price range, you can hsve your pick of any Shear Revival product or Moroccan oil texture clay etc.

Don’t confuse this with the matte clay, which uppercut have for some reason stopped producing. This new version is massively inferior; it doesn’t have the hold of the old product and retains a waxy, shiny finish.

This is the second tin that the seal has broken when opening. The first one was only used about 20% and because of lack of air tight seal, the product ended up going hard and being useless. Really unhappy as makes the product unusable after a very short period.

For whatever reason they have changed the formula and it’s nothing like what it used to be.

I have been using the Uppercut Featherweight, but felt it wasn't quite right.I have fine hair and the Clay gives structure, a firm pliable hold and matt finish.Exactly what I need to put on my hair everyday.
