When a Quality tool counts
The media could not be loaded. Spicy on the price but then Klein always is top quality. So when you need it to work correctly you buy Klein. This tools is no exception and is heavy, smooth in its operation and works perfectly. I’ve tried a number of other cheap versions and couldn’t get a good termination on quad shield RG6 until I bought this. But once cry once

Works Perfectly, But You Need The Right Cable and Connectors. Trust me, I know.
The Compression Crimper is easy to use and works perfectly. With stiff cable it helps to hold the connector in place with your finger. The reason some people cannot get a good crimp is that There Are Different Sizes (diameters) of RG6 cable. I was in the industry from 1987-1992 selling CATV parts. RG6 is sold with a single shield, double, tri-shield and quad-shield. Most of the compression connectors are large enough for triple, some are made for Quad-shield. Those connectors will slip right off of narrower cable. As I recall, I sold crimp on connectors in .342, .357, .372 and .388 barrel diameters.So, you need to buy Quad shield cable and Quad connectors, or smaller connectors with smaller cable. I purchased Klein Tools VDV812-606 connectors for RG6/6Q and Cables Direct Online 100ft White Quad Shield RG6 Coax Cable. The Klein Tools stripper prepared the cable perfectly, and the tool made perfect connections. Incidentally, I had never used compression connectors before. The instructions were perfectly clear and I had no trouble figuring out how to use the tool.

Easily installed PPC EX6XLWSPLUS F Connectors
I bought this to install the ubiquitous PPC EX6XLWSPLUS F Connectors, the waterproof ones that Comcast uses on their RG6/u installs. The tool feels sturdy and is easy to use. It compresses the connectors effortlessly and quickly.The EX6XLWSPLUS connectors have a rubber seal on the top. This seal gets squished when the connector is compressed in this tool, but is not damaged. It is important to note that the compressed seal displaces the connector back a few mm, so completely closing the tool will over-compress the connector and potentially damage it. To avoid this, just stop compressing when the resistance lessens and the lower "step" of the black plastic piece on the F connector is fully seated into the bottom metal housing. I'd imagine with standard compression F connectors this isn't necessary, and I'm glad this tool can accommodate both styles. Instructions noting gotchas like this would be a nice inclusion, though.

worked well for 1 year of full time use.
I'm a full time cable installer. This crimper has lasted the longest out of the 3 crimpers I've bought on Amazon. I crimp about 40 rj6 ends a day Monday-Friday. The design held up well, but it did not get into tight places as easy as other designs. Lasted about a year of full time use and frame snapped in half today.

You Had One Job...
You had one job...and did it very well! This tool is a one-trick pony, but it performs that trick flawlessly. When paired with a coax stripper, it makes quick work of coax termination, with professional results.

Sliced Bread!
Methinks Amazon or Amazon's customers have mixed in reviews of different Klein RG-6 Compression Crimpers and perhaps the anvil design has changed after the May 7, 2009 date first available and Nov 2020. This review is for the one I received on Aug 27, 2021.I have an old trustworthy circa 2005 Sargent 3195CT Ratcheting Snap-N-Seal Installation Tool that cost a little more than three times what this one does... It certainly is much heavier duty, but unfortunately it only works for connectors that have a groove just above the hex rotatey thing with threads in it. And I got some Gilbert GF-EFC-6 RG6 Compression Connectors that do not have the groove. Boo Hoo Hoo...The anvil appears to be indestructible and non-adjustable. It did a great job on both Snap-N-Seal and Gilbert connectors, so it appears that Klein has it set to work with most popular compression connectors. See pictures.Highly Recommended!

Quality workmanship!
There's nothing I disliked about the product. It's eactly what I was looking because you can adjust the crimp size to accomodate pretty well any size F/BNC connector. The really like the little feature at the end of the handles. There's a Hex slot where you can insert the wire when you need to push the coax in a bit further. I had type that were really hard to push in and the fact you can insert the connector and push/turn the wire made it a lot easier to set the center in the opening. I have some connectors that are meant for inside and take some real pressure to lock. This tool handled it no problem. Great tool. I would never hesitate to buy a Klein tool (most of what I have is now Klein).

Extremadamente fácil de usar y al usar conectores de compresión se ahorra muchísimo tiempo, cabe mencionar que use los conectores de la misma marca, así que no he probado con otros conectores de otra marca, use la herramienta para hacer cerca de 100 conectores que los hice en menos de 2 horas y eso que era la primera vez haciendo conectores coaxiales
