Liked this book
I liked this book well enough, but to me, it was just another riding boarding. Nothing too much out of the ordinary happened, nothing surprising... but it was still a fun read.SPOILER WARNING: Beginning of the bookThis book was about a girl named Georgie who lives in England. The book starts out with Georgie on her pony Tyro, in a cross-country start box, at the tryouts for an American riding school. The duo starts out fine, but at the water jump, Georgie falls and gets taken home. Since she didn't qualify for the school then, she goes to a showjumping competition, even though she mainly wants to be a cross-country rider. After a little twist, Georgie and Tyro are going to London for their final to get into the school. At this point, Georgie's father tells her that if she qualifies, it will be too expensive to bring Tyro too.At the London finals, Georige and a new friend are doing a highjump with their ponies to impress the judges. Her friend's pony crashes through the fence, eliminating them. Later, a judge comes up to Georgie and says she can continue the highjump on her own, since she didn't knock down the fence. Georgie and Tyro are selected by the judges to go to the American school, but now of course, pops up the issue of Tyro. She decides to sell him to the girl who knocked down the highjump, since her pony will be out of action for the rest of the season.SPOILER OVERNow, the one other thing I had to say about this book, is that Georgie's roommate called 'math', maths. Unless she was secretly an English person (or just liked calling it that), I don't think she would say that. I also wish that some of the characters were developed more...Anyway, give this book a chance.

Seriously ... I'm obsessed with Pony Club Rivals!
Seriously ... I'm obsessed with Pony Club Rivals! I stumbled across Stacy Gregg's Pony Club Rivals Series while searching for young adult horse books on Amazon and downloaded the first book in the series -- The Auditions. OMG...I couldn't stop reading! I devoured this book! There is not one slow point in this story. The twists and turns and action kept me wanting more! Not to mention, the characters made me tear-up and crack-up. I was enamored by the horse world that Stacy created and sucked in by the high speed and action of the competitions. She also had me giggling at the horsie-stereotypes worked into this story. Spot on!No matter what your age, if you love horses you need to put this book on your read-list! I have already downloaded the second book in Stacy Gregg's Series-- Showjumpers, Pony Club Rivals Book #2. And, I cannot wait to jump into Georgie's new adventure!Brittney JoyAuthor of Red Rock Ranch series

Cute horsie read
Very cute and fun read. I've read all the books in this series and find them best geared for the younger reader but good for anyone wanting a good horse tale.

New horses
Great story, kept my interest throughout, I could see the stables and horses in the pastures . Good conflict running through the story. Nice flavour with beautiful resolution of her fears about the jump her Mother died at.

Great
I loved this book! After reading all the pony club secrets books, I decided to see if Stacy Gregg had any other book series and luckily for me I found this series! The books are a little expensive for their length but they really are quality pony books. This series varies from love to riding issues so I would recommend it 9+ but I'm 11 and enjoying it so personally I love this book.
