I need to clarify that they’re satin brush brass and not polished gold. The electrical cord that doubles as a hanging wire looks thick. We bought another set and the wire looked really thin.As of yet, we haven’t installed them due to our kitchen hasn’t been finished but we plan installing them.

So the lights themselves are made of a lightweight aluminum. You're able to adjust the height so you can actually design it however you want if you want to make them all the same height, or if you want to make one lower one higher, which is what we did to give it some contrast. You can do that as well. These lights are dimmable, you just need to make sure that you have the correct electrical wiring set up to do that since they are hardwired. Also, the lights are LED. If you have to replace them, it may be more difficult than changing your regular light bulb.
