High quality chews
My chiweenie is a super chewer and yak cheese is his chew of choice. We’ve tried lots of brands and these are on the higher quality end of the spectrum. They’re packaged in a folding container designed for retail sale and each chew has a tag attached to it (for individual sale).Pros:High quality, don’t splinter off as he chewsClean ingredientsHas added turmericLong lastingNo smell or staining of fabricCons:The listing should give the measurements of each size because they’re very small. I got the medium, which is about 6” x 1”. It’s perfect for my 10 pound super chewer, but anything bigger than 20 pounds go will need the XL.

The Ingredients Raised Some Questions
I was more than a little confused when I read the ingredients on the box. The heading in the listing said these were 100% natural yak chews, but the main ingredient was listed as Yak AND/OR Cow Milk. I totally get that yak cheese chews will often be made from yak and cow milk, but the fact they used the terminology ’And/Or' really bothered me because it totally left the door wide open for them to not be using any yak milk at all. I don't think I'm wrong in assuming that using cow milk exclusively instead of in addition to yak milk would be cheaper, but these chews are priced in the same range as chews that don't use that 'And/Or' terminology. I can't help but wonder if these being marketed as "Himalayan Cheese Treats" is just a deceptive marketing practice so they can inflate the cost. I have no clue if that is the situation or not and I don't want to misjudge the company in any way, but that "And/Or" terminology has raised my suspicions enough that I'd never buy this brand again or recommend this brand to others.

My Lhasa Apso loves these
I just got the box of cheese chews yesterday and my dog is in chewing heaven. I wondered how she would like the turmeric but she didn't hesitate to take one from me as soon as I opened the box. She worked on it most of the afternoon and made a small dent in one side. If your dog is any smaller than 18 pounds, these might be too big for them. They don't have any bad odor like bully sticks and last a long time. If they get too hard, you can soak them in warm water and I've read that you can microwave one a little to soften them as well. This might be my new favorite chew treat.
