This thread is AWESOME! It is fine, strong and a deal considering the amount you get for the price!
The media could not be loaded. How can you beat 7,500 feet of fine sewing thread for just $9? Well, as it turns out, that happens to be a very good question. The reason it’s a good question is that not all threads are created equal. The quality and durability of thread depends on both its weight and strength. This particular thread is 50WT. Typical thread weights range from about 20WT to 100WT with the smaller numbers indicating thicker thread. As you can hopefully tell, from the video and pictures I have attached to this review, 50WT thread is fairly fine thread. While that can be perfectly acceptable for many sewing tasks, it is only worth it if that fine thread is also very durable. To test this, I actually attached the thread to a force gauge to determine just how many pounds of force it took to break the thread. It took exactly 4 pounds of force to snap this thread (to put that in perspective, I was pulling rather hard on the force gauge right before it broke). This thread is consistently white, very fine, and quite strong and durable. I typically break thread when tightening stiches while sewing by hand so I am THRILLED with this purchase! This is definitely a 5-star and I would highly recommend it to any DIYer who wants or needs fine, strong thread. I doubt you will ever have to buy thread again as 7,500 feet is nearly one and a half miles of thread!

Thread for years…
To give a better size comparison, I snapped a pic of the thread bobbin next to a can of nasal spray. As sturdy as non cotton thread, storing in ziploc bag to preserve the color from going dull. Used for a recent project to make a marigold dia de los muertos lei. Recommend
