This stuff works similar to alopurinol. If you’re in the middle of a flare, don’t take it yet. It can prolong the attack. Wait for at least a week after your last symptoms go away, then start up. It can trigger another flare, but that is just your body processing the excess uric acid. It shouldn’t be too severe or last very long. Start with one pill daily, get your levels tested, then increase as necessary to keep your levels in the therapudic range.I am a 31 year old male, 5’-11”, 205 lbs, and I do Crossfit 3-4 times a week. I don’t eat tons of junk or drink tons of beer. All of that and I still get gout in either of my two big toes once or twice a year.After my last flare was over, I started taking this tart cherry supplement. I was taking one capsule a day for over a month before I had my uric acid levels tested. I would still have twinges of a flare every now and then, but nothing close to an attack. Tested my numbers and was at 7.2 when therapudic Level is closer to 6.0. Started to take two capsules a day. Haven’t had any twinges, in the two weeks since I started, but haven’t had my numbers tested. I’m positive that if I hadn’t been taking this supplement after my last flare subsided, I would definitely have had another flare. This tart cherry extract kept me from flaring.

Was desperate after over a week of gout pain so after reading many reviews I decided to give it a try aftter trying a few other more expensive gout pills and I was on prednisone prescription meds for inflamation. First night i received the product I took 6 pills, but had trouble sleeping. Next morning I was amazed most of my pain was gone. I am not kidding guys about 12-18 hours later it improved from about 40% to like 80. Thank you to all the reviewers who convinced me to try this. I still in shock and wonder if it was really this pill or was i just getting over the hump. Anyways for all of you it is definately worth the $15 to give it try to see if it will work for you. I am still in disbelief.After a few days now I can say it helps but doesnt cure the gout. Instill have pain but it makes not as bad.

This product was recommended to me by a local herbal store to reduce the frequency and severity of gout attacks. My initial impression after using it for about a year has been very positive. I had been taking prescription medication (colchicine) for frequent gout attacks, but recent patents have raised the price of colchicine and I never liked taking a medication that was is historically known for being a very effective poison.After taking the tart cherry, one capsule daily, the gout attacks went away for approximately a full year. I would have been fully prepared to give the product five stars and a glowing recommendation until last week I suffered a fairly severe gout attack (after the first few days, I did begrudgingly take a colchicine and plenty of anti-inflammatories to end it). However, even this attack did feel more moderate than attacks I had historically suffered and only required one colchicine whereas previous attacks had required several days of colchicine. So certainly my condition is not cured.Anyhow, without real clinical data it's impossible for me to know if the tart cherry is really responsible for this reduction in gout severity of frequency, or if it's merely a coincidence. I give a high probability to the tart cherry being affective, plus it's also probably giving me additional benefit. In short, I'd highly recommend giving it a shot.This particular brand appears to be a quality brand. The capsules seem to be in good condition. The jar is nice.

I cannot believe how well this is working for my knee pain relief! I've had surgery on both meniscuses, have some arthritis in both knees, and I have a Baker's Cyst behind one. That knee has been an issue for going on 2 years now, despite physical therapy and cortisone shots. The only thing that's helped with the pain is heavy duty use of NSAIDs, which spike my blood pressure. I've been trying different supplements, hoping something might help and this is it! Along with vitamin D3, fish oil, and glucosamine, I started taking 2 of these capsules each day. I noticed less pain within 24 hours, but thought maybe it was a fluke. But a week later, I'm still experiencing pain relief and better range of motion with my exercises, which leads me to believe this is helping the inflammation. No side effects so far, and my blood pressure is normal.

I use it for my bursitis in my knee. I prefer the capsule to drinking tart cherry juice. I'm usually skeptical when some one recommends a vitamin or mineral, saying it helps this or that. It never has. But I was in so much pain with the swelling and decided to give it try. Three weeks after I started taking 2 a day, one in the morning and one at dinner. The swelling and pain went away. I have not had a problem with my knee since I started taking them for the past 7 years. I can't guarantee it will work for everyone, but I had nothing to lose by trying it and am so glad I did. Two of my girlfriends are taking it also for their swelling ankles and it works for them.

Saw a doctor on you tube stating she takes these every day, so did lance armstrong! Feel great on these take them about 5 times a week 2 capsules in the evening

False advertising in list of ingredients. The bottle says it contains maltodextrin. But on the photo of product description, its a box, which doesnt have that listed. I didn’t even open it but they would NOT accept returns.
