It worked for me.
I wanted to find a charger that fitted a cd player I could not find an original fitting for. So thought, buy a range of adaptors that may do the job. 'Bingo'.So have resolved my problem well and have a range of further adaptors to suit my needs.Enough said!

doesn't look like it has the listed parameters
Bough it to replace 8V, 1A power supply for a door bell. While on paper looks like perfect replacement in reality when adjusted the voltage to either 7.5V or 9V it clearly didn't have enough Amperage (1A) to get the bell ringing. So if you are after 1A (or just below) I would not recommend. Clearly the V/A are misrepresented and was complete waste of money for me.
