Edith And The Duckling (The Lonely Doll Series)

This is a darling book about Edith and Little Bear hatching some duck eggs they found abandoned. It teaches children love and care for animals without being preachy, and it's just a good story. The yellow cover nicely goes with the duckling idea, although the photographs are black & white, in keeping with the original 1950's versions. Glad to see all the Lonely Doll books back in print.

I loved these as a child, many years ago. Have saved and just added to the collection for my grand daughter who is 3 and will enjoy the whole series. By the way; they are very reasonably priced. Beautiful photos and stories. Good lessons about love and what makes a family.

These were my favorite books growing up. I was so excited to find copies to share with my daughters.

An exquisite book. Real, human and deep. They don't publish children's books like this anymore.

You either like this authors work or it gives you the slight creeps. I fit in both categories. There is room for all kinds of experiences for children in literature.
