Great advice, tips, ideas and reassurance in a fun easy to read style.
Raising kids today in this go-go, I’ve got to have everything, Instagram comparison world is not easy. Lisa gives great advice, tips, ideas and reassurance that helps us down the path to good kids that turn into nice people.I particularly like Tip 5, “Get Cozy with the Word No.” It’s tough but you’re not in it to be your kid’s best friend. “Learning when to say no is way more important than being popular.”You’ll love Lisa's no nonsense, but easy-going style of writing and I promise, you’ll learn something useful no matter if your kids are three or thirty-three. Mine happen to be closer to the later, so I gave each of them a copy of the book, to help them raise their Perfectly Imperfect Kids.

Parenting with personality and pizazz
Lisa does most everything with her heart, so it comes as no surprise to me that her book is a piece of herself with a sturdy binding. The wit, intellect, the joy, the love that she brings into her writing makes you feel as if you’re best friends, and you’re capable of conquering anything, especially the unknown of parenthood. Anything she does is automatically on my must read list and I gift all her books to moms/ parents in my life!!

WONDERFUL! Written like you're hearing it from a friend.
Lisa writes what many of us in psychiatry wish our textbooks had. Practical, friendly, no baloney advice that we can use when the time is right. I loved her practical breakdown of the uselessness of punishment for kids and how consequences are important to teach. As a psychiatrist and aspiring mother, I'm looking forward to using these tools.- Whitney McFadden, MD, MPhil

Perfectly Delightful!
Thank you Lisa Sugarman, and Debra Fox Gansenberg, for serving up an easy-to-digest, practical manual for doing the hardest job there is--growing happy, healthy, amazing people! Chapter 3, "Your Kid's EQ is More Important Than Their IQ" should be required reading for every parent...but while you're at it, read the whole book 'cause it's a gem.

Can not highlight this book on kindle app :(
I have only got through 3 chapters because I hate that I paid for a book that I can not highlight. I need to be able to highlight and I spend more time trying to get the kindle app to allow me to highlight and then all the time I had to read is lost because my kids need me again.
