We think 'Certified Organic' is not only an overused term, but also misused and abused. Once we had discovered the USDA has over 30 'Synthetic Fertilizers' on their list as "Certified Organic' and excessive costs to become 'certified', we decided that being 'Sustainably Grown' has much more integrity not only to our customers, but also to our farm. We use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, but rather hard work with our hands like our farming ancestors to grow safe, fresh and flavorful produce for your garden and dining pleasure. A note about seed garlic. Seed garlic is not the picture perfect market quality heads seen in the produce department, it's the slight mis-shaped, less than perfect to the eye but will grow a great plant. We sell is the same as we plant for our harvest, pulled from the same bins we plant our own from. We received feedback from a woman who scored us a 3 because it "wasn't pretty". Please be aware some will, and some won't be "Pretty" but it WILL GROW GREAT GARLIC!
