God is it pretty. Almost kept it for myself.. Gave as a Christmas/appreciation gift to a friend, and she loves it. She needed a good chopping knife and I still get texts about what a great knife it is!

Most of my friends have the Shun Premier Santoku and while that is a great knife I really did not want to spend extra on brand tax. Decided to give the Kubu Santoku a try and it has really impressed me. Feels just about the same as the Shun. I'm glad it came with a sheathe, but personally prefer the Victorinox sheathe for transportation. Overall wonderful knife to use and weight perfectly balanced at the bolster.

So. many. problems. The rivets look nice on one side, blurry on the other. The sheath was cracked and there was a lame attempt to glue it; it also does not have a similar shape to the knife. A bead from the bag came broken in two. Too bad about all that; it was supposed to be a Christmas gift. Luckily I had enough time to find something else.

Very good knife. Well made. Was too heavy for the wife, so had to return it.

My wife is a chef at a very busy restaurant - she is now the envy of everyone in the kitchen. She loves them (and she is PICKY about knives) they stay very sharp. Will probably never have to replace them.

Sharp and pretty but a very heavy if you dont like a heavy knife you wont like this

Love this knife for everyday use, holds an edge well, very sharp and low maintenance.
