I am somewhat surprised with the low rating for this Digestive Enzyme Supplement. I have been using it frequently since 2015.Background:I read Dr. Junger's Clean Gut book in early 2015 and wanted to get supplements he recommended for the program. The Supplements he has on the website were well above the price of my budget, hence I started looking for substitutes meeting most of the ingredients in those products without breaking my bank. As such, I found this Pure Vegan Digestive Enzyme Complex. For a while Amazon used to Subscribe and Save this product until it got discontinued.Side Effects and Concerns:I have never had any issues with side effects like bloating, gas, nausea with this supplement. Neither have I had any loose motions or bad stools issue. The tablet is easy to swallow and the size is not too big. I have been taking them three times a day during the Clean Gut program and then relax it to twice a day - skipping it for breakfast - for lunch and dinner. If I don't take it, I do feel sometime a little heavy after a meal, which possibly means that the Enzyme is doing what supposed to when it is being taken.Price and Ingredients:The price is reasonable (it can be anywhere from $14 to $19) compare that with some of the other items on sale and you can see the difference. What I seen if offer more than other similar Digestive Enzyme Complex are: Ginger, Root Cinnamon Bark and Peppermint Leaf, all of which are excellent ingredients for digestion. The company claims to be vegan and organic. Moreover the supplement does not have any maltodextrin or other "can't say the name" ingredients. I will be honest, there is no way I can verify that, so I cannot comment on it.Other Thoughts:There was a time when this supplement was not available at all on Amazon. At that time, I had substituted it with Natural Nested Digestive Enzymes. These enzymes also never gave me any side effects. However, they do have Maltodextrin in as an ingredient.

Love these they work so well

We eat all natural, organic, non - GMO food. After a few months, eating at other peoples homes (or going out to dinner) became a problem. Eating regular, chemical laden, GMO foods made us sick. Which made family functions a problem.Taking these prior to eating "unhealthy" food has made holidays much more enjoyable, as we can actually eat (small portions) of "regular" food without becoming ill.If you're a health nut (like us) and find yourself in a situation where eating processed food is required just take 2-3 of these prior to eating (or immediately after in a pinch) and you won't get that sick, lethargic, achey feeling.Note: I don't recommend this as a crutch for eating processed, GMO food. But in social situations it's nice to be able to participate & have a natural, health way to help process the chemicals out of your body!

I like to change things up now and then when I think I've hit a plateau with certain supplements/vitamins. Having always used Digestive Enzymes, etc, I needed a change. It's like this with a lot of produsts I purchase here. Because of the huge variety to choose from, there's always options I haven't seen before. Vegan+Vegetarian was something I had never tried before and it gave me great results without upsetting my stomach or digestive system, due to the change in ingredients...A winner.

I like these enzymes. They seem to help break down food a little faster. I didn't see any huge results though. I guess it could be in my mind, but it seems that the refrigerated enzymes pack more of a punch. I don't have digestive problems, so it's really hard to say. There were no problems with this product. The capsules are easy to swallow, with no bad smell or taste. I will probably try a different enzyme next time, the refrigerated type, but I was very happy to find a vegan capsule.
