SealsCoastal Tour Kayaking Spray Skirt

After ordering both the Coastal Tour and Inlander spray skirts, I kept the Coastal Tour and am happy I did. While the Inlander was adequate, for a few extra bucks, the Coastal Tour won hands down. My husband and I spent two days kayaking 48 miles on the Delaware River recently. The Coastal Tour has a very comfortable neoprene waistband. I did not use the suspenders that come with it, but had no issue with the skirt staying up around my torso (and therefore not allowing water to collect). Once the skirt was "stretched out," which only took a couple of times putting it on the cockpit, I was able to put it on while in the water with no issue. The skirt fit tight enough on the cockpit to keep water out, but not so tight that I was able to slide my phone in and out to take photos. The zipper pocket was great for trash, and the ballistic nylon edges look like they will resist wear and tear. The lash points will be handy to hold a map on our next trip out. Very happy with the Coastal Tour's quality and features. This skirt will definitely extend our kayak season well into the Fall and we can start earlier in the Spring too! This is a quality item exactly as described. Material, workmanship and attention to detail is high quality throughout. Have tested in moderate conditions and would trust in breaking waves, if not for rolls, but not meant for that. Top tube is great, adjustable and secure. Suspenders, if needed attach and detach easily and securely and good elastic material. Reinforced edging feels like it will stand up to use and abuse. Deck stay across front works to shed water as described, although requires a little fiddling. Like the pull handle with added plastic tube, easier to get at for wet exit. Not cumbersome like some others while wearing outside the kayak. Over all, great purchase. Not aware of a better alternative for my moderate, coastal sea kayak touring activities, at any price. Sizing chart was correct.

I ordered one of these to use for day paddles in my Current Designs Caribou. I like it. I have neoprene skirts but for a couple of hours on relatively calm waters this is easier to use and more versatile. I've had waves breaking over the boat and it keeps my dry. I like the little compartment on the front, I keep my waterproof camera there (with a float on it, it still fits. If I need to reach my water bottle inside the cockpit, it's easy to work a hand through the side and down into the cockpit.Seals products have been high quality for a long time. I have a Seals skirt and a cockpit cover that are 15 years old and have taken a lot of abuse, and are still 100% functional.

Well made. Easy on and (more importantly) easy off during wet exits. Had no issues attaching the skirt while inside the cockpit. The skirt fits great, prevents water penetration and easy to adjust in the boat. The small zippered pouch is great for sunscreen, camera or phone. All around excellent product.

This is my first purchase of a Seals spray skirt. I have a Wilderness Systems Tempest 165 and needed a skirt for open water day trips in the Great Lakes region. This spray skirt is easy to put on, watertight and comfortable. My boyfriend bought the Seals Adventure model spray skirt, and I can say that for 10-15 more mine seems worth it. Before this skirt I owned a pelican rec skirt that was nearly impossible to keep tight and even more impossible to use on trips. I would definitely recommend the Coastal spray skirt.

Well made/ fits tight. I wanted a good skirt and believe I have it inthis one. It is high quality. You pay for what you get.

This is probably the best spray skirt I've ever used on a touring kayak. It's handled some pretty rough seas for 2 seasons. Never fails me.

Great product at a fair price.
