Brilliant Purchase. Really pleased and cannot fault the item.
BRILLIANT - Lightweight and the XXL size fits perfectly where others often don't. There is an adjustment for head size which is really clever. It's lightweight and well made. I am very pleased and will buy another in a different colour. Great value for money. I find my head doesn't get all sweaty as it has ventilation. I am sure it will be comfortable all day long.

Actually a very good hat & I think worth the money...
I don't normally bother writing reviews but thought I would for this hat to "defend" it!A lot of people have commented that the fabric on the top is thin and flimsy - well it is thinner than the rest of the hat but appears to be the - hopefully proper - same Sun Protection 50+ fabric as the rest. That's all it needs for the top! The lighter and more "breathable" the better! It's the RIM that needs to be stiff and keep its shape and it does!Best of all - and quite unusually - the top part of this hat covers over the mesh part (but leaving open at the bottom) to ensure the sun doesn't shine through the mesh to largely defeat the purpose of the sun protection. A lot of people have enough hair to partly (but not fully) protect the sides of their heads but I don't as I'm almost bald! I'm also a cancer patient on chemotherapy and MUST have full protection. Therefore I really need a well designed hat like this.It also claims to be waterproof - not just shower proof, and I expect it is though haven't tried it in the rain yet.I also like the fact it has a really nice wide brim, but not so wide it looks silly. As a sun hat that gives you a little more shade and as a rain hat obviously a little more shelter. It also very easily packs flat without losing its shape at all. It can probably be rolled or folded too but I wouldn't want to try that and as it easily flattens from the crown that's all it needs. When buying this hat I actually bought several to try - some about 1/2 the price - but this is the one I'm keeping and going to rely on and use all summer.

Seems good
Comfortable to wear and should keep the sun's effects at bay.

Wide brim, lightweight, and ideal for sunny days
I bought the Comhats UPF 50+ Sun Hat for an upcoming summer trip and walks along the coast, and it has quickly become a favourite. It’s comfortable, protective, and stylish enough that I actually enjoy wearing it — which can’t be said for every sun hat!First off, the UPF 50+ rating is a standout feature. It gives excellent protection against harmful UV rays, which is especially important for long walks, gardening, or beach days. I’ve worn it for several hours in direct sun and genuinely felt the difference — no redness on the forehead or back of the neck, even without extra sunscreen in those areas. The wide brim offers generous coverage without being floppy or obstructive. It shades the face, ears, and neck well, and holds its shape even in light wind. There’s a wire edge around the brim that allows you to subtly adjust the curve, which is handy when switching between reading a book and walking outdoors. The material is lightweight and breathable, so your head doesn’t get too hot or sweaty. It’s made of a quick-drying fabric too, which came in handy when I got caught in a summer drizzle — the hat dried in under half an hour and didn’t lose its shape. One of my favourite features is the adjustable chin strap, which keeps the hat secure during breezy conditions. It also has an internal drawstring to adjust the fit around the head, which is perfect for those who find many “one-size” hats too loose. I have a smaller head and appreciated being able to customise the snugness without discomfort.Style-wise, it’s neutral and practical. The design suits both casual outfits and more active wear like hiking gear. The colour I chose (beige) goes with just about everything and doesn’t show dirt easily. It also packs down flat into a suitcase or rucksack without creasing permanently, making it great for travel. I’ve stuffed it in with clothes and it bounces back with no issues. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add a discreet zip or mesh pocket on the inside for keys or a bit of cash — though I realise that might not be everyone’s priority in a sun hat.All in all, the Comhats UPF 50+ Sun Hat is a fantastic mix of function, comfort, and protection. It’s ideal for travel, beach days, hiking, or even just pottering in the garden. Highly recommended for anyone who takes sun protection seriously without wanting to compromise on comfort or appearance.

Nice hat, poor sizing
Nice hat, well made, but the sizing chart is a bit off so I ordered one that is slightly too big.

Great design just poor quality
I like the lightweight material, the great design and purpose. The plastic clips holding the adjustable strap that can be removed don’t actually engage on my hat.

Bizarre sizing but look for the toggle
It's perfect for keeping the sun off my bonce but beware the sizing: M-L is too small but L-XL is huge. Luckily I discovered a toggle at the rear of the crown enabling the size to be adjusted. Perfect.
