R4 2025 R4iNP SDHC Dual Core Update Adapter Memory Card with 16GB TF SD for NDS DS DSI 2DS 3DS 2DS 3DS XL, No Timebomb

I was hesitant to purchase this R4 due to a negative feedback another buyer left, but when comparing the price to other sellers, I decided to give it a try. This cart is truly plug and play. It comes with a 16gb microSD that is formatted with the firmware needed to run the cart, so I didn't need to spend any extra time looking around for it. I just threw the DS ROMs on there and got to playing. As an added bonus, it even comes with the capability of playing some games (not all) from other platforms such as Gameboy Advanced. If you do not plan on modifying the software that is already on there I would highly recommend making a backup of the files. I didn't do this and ended up removing a required startup file. I, however emailed the seller for help and he was quick to send me the download link for the firmware.

Listen, gets a perfect review, but a few things to note.I got this in the mail today and was super excited for it. I had a few issues getting it set up, but being tech savvy I was able to troubleshoot issues and hope it helps anyone else having the same issues. when I went to load a game, it was stuck on a white screen, so I reformatted the SD card in FAT32. I also downloaded the newest kernel from the website on the business card and put the files write on the drive. and it started working. I would copy any files on the drive to the computer first to make sure that you have the same structure, but did that and it started working fine.

It works fine. I loaded games up on it and they run very well. However if you plan to use this to mod an older 3DS, it is not compatible. So don’t buy this thinking you can use it for that.

had a ds lite sitting around and the kids asked me to make it work with emulators. this let me get that done real easily!

I'm new to roms and emulation, but this was seriously as easy as putting the roms on the memory card. All of the folders for each console (NDS, GBA, GBC, NES, and maybe some others) are labeled for your convenience. So far I've loaded about 50 NDS roms, 8 GBA roms, and 3 GBC roms and all of the ones I've tested work perfectly with no noticeable glitches or lag. This is a relief since I was worried getting games or homebrew working on a DS Lite would be more difficult. This is a great deal for the price and a great deal for newbies.
