Leakproof, food-safe. Great Nalgene quality.
Purchase this bottle to take along my dog’s salmon oil (food supplement) when we travel. I generally stick with Nalgene because I know their bottles are 100% leakproof and this one is as well. I also needed a bottle that is food safe which HDPE (and LDPE) are. It is also easy to wash with the proper sized bottle, brush, although what I use it for comes out by just sloshing around it soapy hot water. Very pleased.

Good to fly with
Are you annoyed with leaving your precious fluids behind? This bottle can be checked, and carries a quarter of a Liter--about a cup of liquid--with no leaks.

Using for extra oil on my motorcycle
So far it hasn’t leaked a drop. Good container.

Nice Bottle. Impervious to 2 stroke oil
I'm using these little bottles for 2 stroke oi, so I can estimate when I am filling at a gas station (street legal dirt bike). They are sturdier than the chain saw oil bottles, and they are CLEAR see through so I can estimate how much I use.

Fine for what it is - my mistake - thought it would be flat

But can they hold your liquor?
I have this passing thought from time to time that one day, not too far in the future, after I've passed from this mortal coil, the Nalgene bottles I've filled with various solvents for my gunsmithing and electronics projects and getting GE silicone off other parts (the secret? odorless mineral spirits. try it, works on that stuff the mold's finally taken over in the shower stall) will be there, still full, years and years later while my heirs dig through my stuff and hold yard sales, estate sales, and do their best to squeeze every last drop of income I've dropped into hobbies and "projects" to sustain them.Meanwhile, these bottles will have held every drop of liquid poured into them for that time and longer. Since 2013 and far earlier.I once had a part time job as an undergrad washing bottles and stocking the chem labs at a major University where I first learned about these bottles. I'd "borrowed" a handful for my occasional hiking trips into the San Gabriel Mountains (wilderness area), Pacific Crest Trail, Sedona, Santa Lucia Nat'l Forest and elsewhere. They held up rally well. (I wish I'd been the guy who started marketing them through REI). I've still got 'em, now my son's using them for HIS camping trips 35 years after I'd, um, purloined them. Probably cost the University a buck a bottle back then, I'm certain my tuition more than paid for them - and they were listed as disposables. You recall that line from "The Big Chill" about rationalizations being more important than sex? Because, have you ever gone a week without a rationalization?I used some of the smaller ones (8oz) back in '88 and '91 to sneak Glenfiddich scotch into Officer's Basic and then Advanced training. So, fast forward to today, and I'm buying more of these. I tried using old opthalmologic buffered saline solution bottles but the mineral spirits, believe it or not, evaporates right through the bottle. I need one of these HDPE bottles to hold it.Acetone - fine.Methyl Alcohol - fine.Lacquer thinner - fine. Now to see for sure if they'll hold mineral spirits and MEK.Worth every penny.
