I absolutely love this as a planner/journal.

Very thin paper, otherwise fantastic
The media could not be loaded. Apart from not being able to read 1/5 of every page, and that the paper is really thin (won’t work well for heavy-bleeding pens like fountain pens), the size is perfect and the pages are structured really well.I think if you enjoy fine/extra-fine pens this “life book” will fit nicely into your daily routine.

Perfect size- who cares if I can't read the date, month, year, inspirational sayings
I love the size, and the paper of this book. It comes in a larger size in English but I prefer this A6 size in Japanese. This is my second year.

Love It and Hate It
This was my first A6 Techo, and I'm undecided whether to get it in English for 2024 as a memory journal and try to ignore the quotes section or go for a Stalogy instead and date it myself.Pros: portability sort of. Lightweight. It is small, but it's very thick and gets thicker if you use stickers/washi/glue or tape things in. Pre-dated saves time if you're using it daily. It's rather cute. I would say it works well for a single, focused purpose (ex. only for work/only for memories/only for wellness tracking) but if you're coming from Bullet Journaling or anything where you're looking to use just one book for everything, this will be too small.Cons: Monthly and Daily, no Weekly layout (they sell a separate weeks booklet if you keep it in a cover). The Monthly pages are a good, useable size. The Daily pages work for me as a quick summary journal but wouldn't accommodate an entire functional day's planning and living in. Tons of wasted space at the bottom of every Daily page with quotes. I see the design reasoning to fill the bottom with quotes as it's hard to handwrite towards the bottom edge of a thick book; however, could they not have put the date info at the bottom then, thereby reserving more blank, usable space? Because I've tried to cover this bottom area with washi and stickers, my book has gotten thick only at the bottom, so it's lopsided and makes writing difficult now towards the end of the year. It's frustrating that both the HON and the Day-free also have this ugly, wasted bottom section. Wish they would make at least one version without the quotes.

Great planner for getting organized but the A6 was too small for me
I love the hobonichi system the graph pages and the layout but again as I said in my last review the prices are a bit too high. Maybe they are targeting a certain demographic of people but it would be great if they could make it more affordable for everyone especially college student and young parents with kids and bills. Overall it is keeping me very organized and I have hounded the planner communities after watching several videos on YouTube.

The perfect planner
This is my fifth year of using the Hobonichi Original. This one is my first Japanese one. I prefer it to the English edition because the daily page is more structured and already has lines printed for daily to-dos. Everything else is pretty much the same, just in Japanese.

I'm a repeter
I have been using Hobonichi for several years. Hobonichi is the best diary I have ever used. I highly recommend this. Just try it!
