Sakura Essence (Cherry Blossom Flavor) 10ml

I finally used the Sakura Essence in a cake this past weekend and it was wonderful. It delivered both on aroma and flavor. I highly recommend it. It is on my list of "must have" flavors. Can't wait to try it in ice cream this Summer!

Absolutely no complaints. Wonderful product-- sweet, fruity, flowery flavor. This is my secret ingredient to the perfect white cake! Forget Almond Extract- Cherry Blossom is where it's at.

Shipping was good, arrived quicker than anticipated by a couple of weeks, and the product was in immaculate condition.That said, the flavor of this flavoring is pretty light/mild. The smell is *very* strong, and distinctive, but when adding into something, I found the "2-3 drops" recommended in most sakura recipes insubstantial. It took nearly 1/2 tsp (added to 7 oz white chocolate and 4 oz heavy cream) before it could flavor a white ganache even subtly. But that's about the same as any other extract/flavoring I've used, you'd use between 1/2 - 1 tsp ... just makes the tiny size a slight bummer - though there are industrial cook shops where you can order this stuff in 8oz bottles, if you really like it.

This is a great product. It has a strong flavor, so you only need a drop or two. This is way more flavorful than vanilla extract, so don't be put off by the small bottle- it goes a long way. The taste/fragrance is from the cherry blossoms, and unlike cherry leaves or cherry leaf powder, it's not salty. It's really good for adding a unique flavor to whipped cream or layering with other sakura products.

It's more artificial than I had hoped, but then what is "essence of cherry blossom?" It seemed to work okay for flavoring the rice, but one friend said he noticed an odd artificial taste.

I'm so happy that I was apply to find Sakura extra, it's the hardest thing to find and it works great. I also got a note with all the billing information and they gave me origami, so sweet and personal. Best sellers ever, recommend any of there products and especially this product. LOVE SO MUCH!!!!

I went to Japan in early April this year to many cities just to see Sakura, during that time, a lot of food were sakura flavoured, ice-cream to cookies, you name it. So, when I came home and I was yearning for that pink looking food and want to bake sakura cookies ssssoo very badly.However when I bought this essence, it's no where near those sakura flavoured food I have eaten in Japan. for example: mochi, ice-cream, donuts, muffins, chips or cakes, they have a faint scent of Ume (plum) or cherry, sakura is cherry blossom after all, the closest could get is plum or cherry flavour.BUT this essence has a completely different smell or flavour which does not resemble of any of those sakura flavour I have had in Japan. I'm quite dissapointed. I will now look for Ume essence which is closer to what I remember of sakura flavour in Japan.

Although the flavor is qualitatively fine, the strength is too weak. I tested it by mixing it into 3 oz. of vanilla ice cream and it took more than 10 drops before I could even detect the cherry blossom flavor. It would take maybe 5X that amount to equal the strength of the vanilla that was in the ice cream. At this price, I expected to get cherry blossom essential oil which is hundreds of times stronger than this product.

キャップを取って、嗅いだ瞬間アルコールの強烈なに匂いがして、「これサクラ？」と思いました。手につけてみても、アルコールは飛びましたが、化粧品のような匂いで、とても桜餅とかの食品に使えるものではありません。10mlなので、本当に小さいのに、この値段は失敗です。お菓子作りに使おうと思ったのですが、アルコール臭が強いし、桜の香りもしないので、全く使えません残念です。

桜餅（道明寺）のあの匂いを期待して買ったのですが、購入後ふたを開けて匂うと、アルコール臭の奥に少し桜のにおいがありそうなレベル。アルコールが飛んだら桜のにおいが出てくるのだろうと期待し、マカロン生地に投入。しかし。。。全く桜のにおいせず。ほのかに何か花の匂いがあるっちゃあるなレベル。これ、捕えようによっては詐欺じゃありません？

ほのかに桜の香りがします。ほんとうにほんのりって感じでした。香りを強めたくて、たくさん入れるとアルコール臭がしてしまうので、数滴しか使えませんが、もう少し桜の香りを楽しみたかったです。

桜のにおい全くしません。薬臭いだけという感じでした。
