Everything that I have bought that is Pelican brand has been well made and worth the purchase.

I love to go to the beach & swim. However, when there is no one to leave your valuables with, I don't feel comfortable leaving them unsecured on the beach or by the pool. Our phones can be ruined in the water. I was so happy to find the Pelican Marine Waterproof Dry Bag 3 L. It does state that 30 min. submerged is safe. The good thing is that the air that stays in the bag upon closure causes it to float when slung over my back that then means it is not "submerged" & can stay dry longer. It held everything I needed (phone, small wallet, keys) without being bulky. The clear window allows you to still use the phone. The roll top adds that extra degree of safety. I now have Peace of Mind to truly enjoy the water.

Pelican usually makes quality products. This is not one of them. These types of bags work by giving you a lot of material up top to roll up multiple times, creating a water-proof seal. This bag is too short, so it can only roll twice. This is not secure and after swimming only a few feet, it began to unroll. My wallet got soaked and is drying as I type this. Other reviewers were concerned about the zip seal inside of the bag for your phone. This part shouldn't matter, because the entire bag should be waterproof, which means you phone should be protected whether or not you use the zip seal.Disappointing product that is being returned.

Hi, I really like the size of this bad. It’s just big enough to accommodate my keys, phone and a light windbreaker. The material seems thick/durable and the carry strap is handy.There is an internal ziplock pocket for your phone that gives an added measure of protection. Operating the phone through the clear window worked well too. It was a good purchase that I expect to serve me well when paddling.

The water tight seal at the top, which is similar to a ziplock bag style closure, does not seal completely.
