DAIWA Bait Reel 21 Zillion SV TW 1000P/1000/1000H/1000XH Right/Left Handle (2021 Model)

This is a MUST-HAVE reel!!! It is simply incredible!!! And the price is unbeatable!!! It comes brand-new from Japan! I would highly, highly recommend this reel!!!

I fish this zillion reel, and a 23 Bantam and a 21 scorpion dc. All three reels are equally smooth on cast and retrieval and all casting 120’ + with a 1/2oz on a 7’ MH Trika. The only exception is the Bantam is not as forgiving on backlash as the zillion or the scorpion.

As good as it gets for baitcasters.

This is a fantastic bait caster with so many adjustments to fit your needs and bait perfectly. However, this comes from Japan with the instructions in Japanese and there are no copies in English anywhere to be found. I even called Daiwa USA and they could not (or would not) provide me a link or copy for the instructions in English. So you are left on your own to research what you need to know. But once you figure it all out, you will be extremely pleased with this reel. This is a 5 star reel with very poor support and instructions. Hence the 4 star rating.

50 years of fishing experience and I’ve never been a reel snob, until now! I would trade every Curado DC, Slx dc, lews, quantum, every reel I’ve ever owned for the zillion! It’s that good. Imo, it’s worth every penny $204 (4-4-24). It literally disappoints me to pic up any of my other reels now.

Unlike the Thailand made daiwas we're used to (tatula elites, prorex etc) these Japanese made reels are the 'reel' deal. I've had several expensive Thai made daiwas that came defective with noisy dry bearings that had to be replaced right out of the box. Somehow these are available for 200 bucks instead of 4 and they're straight from Japan. Shipping estimate was June 7th, it was on the porch on May 28th. No clue how that was possible but it was indeed shipped from Japan. Silent long casts, lightweight and extremely high quality. Don't waste your time on tatuals get one of these while you can.

初おろしで60アップナマズ3本、43cmバスと釣ってドラグクリッカーも存分に発揮された。やはりドラグクリッカーは魚とのやり取りが分かりやすくバレも少ないように感じよい。デザインも良いが巻き心地は思ったほどは良くない。21アルファスより遥かによいので、売ってこっちを追加しようと思う。

久しぶりにリールを新調。シマノばかり使ってきたけど、別メーカーの技術を味わってみたくて初めてダイワリールに手を出した。古いけど13メタとの比較です。剛性:かなり高い。メタと比較して身が詰まっている感じ。パーミング:やや腰高。手の小さい人は違和感あるかも飛距離:散々言われている「最後のひとのび」がメタに比べて無い。でも飛距離はそんなに変わらないので感覚的なものかも。耐トラブル性:SV凄い…サミング無しで本当にバックラしない。ただブレーキの領域を外すと盛大にトラブります。ルアーチェンジに応じて都度設定必要。シマノはマニュアル感が強く、自然とサミングで対応しようとするんでしょうね。慣れかな。巻き感度:個人差あるだろうけど、これはメタの方が良かった。リールの特性を考え、撃ち物用にして大満足。本当はHDの方がより撃ち物に合ってそうですが、当方リストが弱いため軽さ重視で…。古いシマノと比べること自体ナンセンスかもしれないが、SVブレーキはちょっと感動した。巻き感度は13メタがクリアランスの広い構造故に振動やノイズを増幅し易いのかも。剛性感はジリオンの方が安心感あり。シマノとダイワ双方良いところがあって、シマノダイワ論争に結論を付けようとする事自体ナンセンスなんだと両メーカー使って気づきました。

ダイワのいわゆる汎用ベイトリールを初めて使いました。決してダイワが嫌いな訳では無いのですが、子供の頃たまたまシマノのタックルから入ってずっと気に入っていたので乗り換える必要が無く使う機会がありませんでした。使いたいロッドがダイワから出たので合わせる為に購入しました。まず良い点からレビューします。・非常にコンパクトでパーミングしやすい。わたしは手が小さい方ですが、逆にもう少し大きくても良いかと思うぐらいガッチリ掴めます。・非常にトラブルレス。PEラインを巻いて1ozのテキサスやジグであればブレーキ3ぐらいでフルキャストしても全くバックラッシュしません。近距離打ちでもどんな投げ方をしてもトラブル皆無です。・ドラグサウンドが標準装備。・コスパが最高です。悪い点のレビューです・デザインが若干地味。シンプルな感じが好きな人には合ってます。・ハンドルノブがやや貧弱。純正の替えノブであまり良い物もありません。・飛距離を突き詰めると若干シマノの方が上。わたしがマグネットに慣れていないだけかもしれませんが、ブレーキはかなり強めな印象を受けます。ここはトラブルレス性能と裏表かと。飛距離とトラブルレスという点では特にシマノのDCに劣りますが、近距離打ちはDCにかなり勝ります。総合的に34m径スプールのバーサタイル機の中では2023年現在他メーカー入れてナンバーワンだと思います。多分これを使いにくいと感じる人は10人中1人居るか居ないかでは無いでしょうか。
