Took a few tries to figure out how to effectively use it, but once we figured it out, lock is easy to use and keeps door securely in place. Great item to have when traveling, as well as an additional security for your house. Such a good value for the price. Even comes with its own carrying case for when you are traveling.

I have problems with solo hotel stays after being in hospitality background for years. I had to deal with solo women working for the week at 3 properties who were assaulted. Shady employees and people off the street or combos of both. Swiveling at all times, at all costs, ladies!That's always stuck by me and caused me to be more cautious about staying in hotels for myself, by myself.I use the hotel locks and guards, but I still didn't feel safe enough. I just came back from a solo trip and used this.I felt safe enough to stop the anxiety I am plagued with so that I could sleep. I could breathe and relax enough to 😂.It's not exactly easy to get on and operate the first few times, but it's easy to get on once you have played with it.It's generally pretty sturdy and does its job. I just wish the metal gauge was a bit thicker.I've used both sides of the door hinge and then it worked great. Only tip!: Keep your hands out of the way after investigating which size works for you. Always put it on left side of the door, so no pushins.I plan on taking it out on every trip from here on out.

Works perfectly. Great extra security when you want it. Doesn't fit all doors though. I tried it out to see if I liked it enough to buy a second one. But my porch door is farther away from the frame than the front door so it doesn't fit

I got this for my front door and side garage door for additional security. They are made of metal and very sturdy! I highly recommend this!

thought this was a great design and its an added security when you stay in a strange place that have the key to your room. after a few trips i found that this lock only work on older/simple door lock. for those new lock where the locking mechanism is larger or some hotel lock. this does not work too well. i actually got the plate stuck because it was too small and was lock inside the room. lucky i manage to remove this security device without hotel staff having to remove my room door. i still think this is a great product but will not fit all lock/door. i think the plate that you fit it to the door need to be redesign.

This lock adds an extra layer of security to a hotel room once you are in the room. It was a bit difficult to get lined up with the door lock, but once it was on, it felt secure. I didn't have anyone try to enter the room, but it felt like it would at least give someone time to get ready for an intruder. It packs flat in your suitcase and comes in a little carry bag.

I used this for traveling offten it works really well no problems when testing it as well

This added security feature is necessary for anyone traveling! You have to see it to believe it. Low cost for a quality product, that actually works. Travelled alone to another country and would have had cleaning staff walk in on me if the lock wasn’t in place. This is an amazing invention, and worth every dollar.
