Stubby the Dog Soldier: World War I Hero (Animal Heroes)

Great book for little boys who love to play soldiers! My boys are 5&7 and love this story. My 7 yr old read the book it’s some help and then we watched the movie ad a family. Great story. Book is very well written for children with sweet illustrations.

I liked this topic because almost all children like animal stories. Since this is the 100th year anniversary of World War I , it fit in well with history, a true narrative, and human interest.

A wonderful story about a true American Hero from the First World War. Every kid should read this book.

Great read for my third grader! He LOVES this book, and it fulfilled his nonfiction summer reading requirement.

My 5th graders loved this story! They loved hearing about animals that helped with the war efforts and started researching other animals to read about. They are excited for the upcoming move on Stubby.

This book is marvelous! The story is true and everyone should know the story about Stubby the Hero. I have given this book to several people/children.

I served in the Yankee Division and enjoyed introducing my daughter into this story. This book has her excited to check out the movie.
