The hat comes flattened and in a vacuumed sealed package. I took the hat out, stuffed it with a sweatshirt, and left it like that for 3d. It was no longer dented or misshaped. I'm very thankful the wig wasn't attached, as you can see, I already have the hair for the costume. Sidenote: I used my own peacock feathers. The hat fits very comfortably, lightweight material, super cute, and maintains its shape, unless you hit it. I received a lot of compliments on the hat as well as my outfit. This purchase was worth the cost and more. Thank you.
