This was the third KVM I tried for a computer and laptop that needed to share a 34" monitor (along with the keyboard and mouse). First one didn't work at all due to not simulating signal to the inactive machine, which caused windows to lose position. Second one was pretty good but the wireless keyboard and mouse had constant issues. This one finally fixed all those issues. I didn't even need the extra USB-3 port, but having a stable signal, possibly by not supporting hot-key switching, solved the issues with the keyboard and mouse.The one feature I'd really like to see in this class of KVM is having the keyboard and mouse ports on the back side, so you wouldn't need cables running around from the front, but that just doesn't appear to be where this class of of device concentrates. Considering that you can only switch with the button on the front, not having cables in the way would be nice. Fortunately, this didn't affect me being that both the keyboard and mouse use small USB transmitters.

I've just received this and connected my work laptop and my personal pc. Now my desk makes sense. There is a short lag as I switch pc's but that may be my devices and not this one. I am very happy my work from home desk is getting better and better. It came with all new cables.I will update this if there are any issues. No more plugging and unplugging!

At first worked great. I use it on a daily basis and was content with the speed at witch it switched and it just worked. 1 month into using it the USB connection drops every 10 seconds. At first it rarely happened, I was fine with it. Now it’s useless. Constant mouse and keyboard disconnect and reconnect. Aggravating is an understatement.

This is a nice thing to have if you are using one monitor for two computers. I usually use this for work purpose as I only have one monitor. It allows you to plug in one other usb device, a keyboard, a mouse, and monitor. First thing I will say about this is that it will provide you with the USB cables and the HDMI cables. You will however need one additional HDMI cable to connect to your display as it only provides you with two HDMI cables. I use two windows pc and the both works great with this. The first thing I will say about this is that it does work with both windows and mac without any issue. I did not have to manually install any drivers. Everything installed on its own without issue. It did however take a few seconds before it recognized the USB ports between the computer. Speaking of USB ports, this one comes with only ONE USB 3.0 ports which gives you a bit of a boost of speed if you are say connected to a hard drive. I do wish all the USB drives were 3.0 as I would prefer to have more USB 3.0 options. The other two ports are just 2.0. Another thing to note is that the keyboard and mouse unfortunately does not wake up a computer from sleep so be aware of that. The next thing I will say is that this device allows you to easily switch and control up to two computers on the same keyboard and mouse. This is really a life saver for me because I usually switch between mac and PC quite frequently. It also works with any HDMI screen without much issue. It does require additional power to power the device. There is usb powering for this device. There are designated ports in the back for the mouse and keyboard. It definitely reduces clutter as you only need one keyboard, mouse, and monitor for the devices. Also you are limited to just one usb 3.0 ports if you occupy the keyboard and mouse ports. I did try it with a wireless keyboard (one dongle) and it works pretty well. I did try to plug in a USB hub to see if I can get more ports but it was not recognized on the device. This device unfortunately does not come with any aux or headphone jack so if you happen to have external speakers it will not connect to this device which is a bit of a bummer. In terms of video and sound quality, I do not see much issue with images degrading or sound issues from either computer. They both sound great through my monitor. The device does output to whatever the screen support. I did try hooking it up to a 720p screen and it output just the same although you may need to change the settings on your computer. You can easily switch between computers by the switch on the front. You press down for on screen and you press down and release for the other. You do not get a remote and you have to press the button on the switch every time in order to switch between the inputs. At least with this device, it is made of aluminum metal so it distributes heat pretty well. That being said though, this device does not get hot so you do not have to worry about overheating. It is also very light which can be annoying if you are plugging cables into it. I opted to adhere it down to my desk. Overall this is an okay switch to have if you are looking to control two different computers on one screen. You cannot control them simultaneously but at least you can reduce the amount of keyboards and mice you will need by one. I definitely like the perk. It is very light and works with both PC and MAC. There are USB ports in the front so you are able to connect thumb drives and such easier but I do wish that it had more usb 3.0 ports.

I like this because I have my work laptop and home laptop on the desk and can run my dual monitors without having to change cords, etc. Now my kids can easily come to the desk and use the home laptop and we don't mess around with my work one.It's a little tricky getting set up. Once you figure it out, it's pretty obvious. but it took me awhile to get there.Also when you power down laptop #2 this automatically switches back to laptop #1 which is kind of annoying.

The instructions for this device are not very helpful, so it took me a bit to figure it out. Granted, it's not the prettiest of things, which I wouldn't expect, and I had to work on my cable management skills to not have a nest of wires all over my desk, but it works well for what I needed. I now have a double monitor setup for my work laptop & home PC! YAY!

Thanks to the USB 3.0 KVM Switch dual monitor, I was able to control 2 computers, as it was said, I shared 2 monitors. An easy to install device, no power supply required plus feature. It has become very easy for me to switch between the programs I run on the computer.I used USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 ports to share all my devices such as mouse, keyboard, etc. between two computers. Switching between screens is fast, I like the image, I can switch to which computer with a button.
