I bake a LOT and was experimenting/learning about sourdough. I decided to try making crackers and the recipe called for making a hole in each cracker. I did that once. Then, since I also make pies (I've always used a fork for docking), I decided it was time to use a docker. This one works GREAT!

I really love this tool, but I find it gets stuck when rolling so it pulls the dough.

I've wanted a dough docker ever since I worked in a pizza joint as a kid. I finally found a justification to buy it when I started experimenting making crackers. This one is sturdy and well made. The first batch of crackers came out great, and I didn't have to waste a lot of time poking the holes with a fork. I can't wait to try it on pizza dough!This one is even better than the all-steel commercial ones I've used. It's more compact so easier to store in a home kitchen. The spikes are shorter, thus sturdier. The handle is comfortable in the hand.

The tool is well-made and sturdy. It is not light and brittle like the plastic ones which for me it replaced. It does dock the dough much better than the plastic ones. Cleaning is a little more difficult because of the tine pattern; however, that is a reasonable compromise. Overall, I would recommend this product.

This arrived quickly, and works nicely for perforating crackers before baking.
