Extension cable gives you an additional 6ft to work with not including the coil. This hand control should plug into a motor connection with a 5 pin connection on the motor. What is a Quick Disconnect: A quick disconnect is basically an extension cord with easily accessible disconnection. 5 pin with quick disconnect. Compatible with hand controls that have a quick disconnect or that do not have a quick disconnect. Plug to the motor is the same. Examples for quick disconnect: -Need to replace hand control but do not have to go through the hassle of disconnecting from the motor. -Children are over and you do not want them playing with the chair so you can disconnect the hand control. Directions: Plug into motor and thread cord under the chair and through the side pocket. The quick disconnect rests in the side chair pocket. The hand control cord plugs into the quick disconnect cord that is in the side pocket. Used on Lift Chairs or Power Recline Chairs.
