The pictures of the product do not do it justice. I purchased the onyx and it is not only functional, but also very eye catching on my counter. At every dinner party I have hosted since purchasing, I have received compliments and inquiries as to where I purchased it.I have not found the openings to be too small to get my fingers into, but I am a woman. For a man, it may not be as functional. I would suggest using one of the very small salt spoons available.The prodcut is well made, heavy but not too heavy (stays in place when you open the lid and does not slide on the counter), and easily opens with one hand.I will be buying more of these as gifts for my chef friends.Thanks.

The media could not be loaded.  Quality is wonderful and it’s super easy to open with one hand which is very convenient when cooking. The magnet on the lid is genius and seals tight enough to keep moisture out! We love it!

I ordered this with a pound of pink Himalayan salt for my bf who is a chef. He cooks everyday. I almost got the bamboo one but this one looks so much nicer for sitting on the counter plus it will last forever, literally. I'd recommend this salt box because it's big enough for someone who cooks everyday, so they don't have to constantly refill it. Plus it can hold 2 different kinds, for one regular sea salt and one for the pink salt. The swivel top is kind of fun too, you don't have to take the lid off or pick it up to slide the lid to either side, which is extra convenient for a chef who always has his hands busy. This is only $5 more than the bamboo one but looks way nicer, plus the bamboo one has a lot of complaints about a huge sticker on top thats impossible to remove. This one is pretty much perfect.

Happy with the product. My only gripe with this item is that the friction of its bottom isn't enough to hold back the container when you flip the lid. Usually, if you flip the lid, the whole box moves with it, which is a tad bit annoying.

This is very sturday piece. Cover is connected with the body. To open is to push the cover to left or right direction. Marble is also good quality. Marble is always cooler. I use this for salt and blk peppee power.

Each one is uniquely its own. It is my second one because I dropped it on concrete and it broke. This one is just as pretty. I hate shakers for seasonings and herbs. This makes cooking much easier and is Beautiful on the counter!

Love the size and swivel top is well made. That said, the photo online makes it look like more of a matte/natural marble but it is actually very shiny polished marble which I wasn't expecting. I'm keeping it regardless, but for those expecting or wanting a more natural look should know its very shiny. hopefully the photos capture the sheen - I'm also showing something in matte/natural marble on top for reference.

Have been looking for a countertop Salt/Pepper container that looks nice...this one works great, looks great....a bit expensive, but overall very happy with it. Hoping that the hinge pin that holds the lid does not come loose....
