A very robust mat with a non-slip side. It was easy to manoeuvre my chair across the carpet once my Office Chair Mat was installed. Great product

Bought this to replace a thin inferior piece of flooring and certainly does the job. Not used for a chair, it is at our back door to protect the carpet. Doesn't crinkle up or move like the original piece we had.Excellent, thank you!

Perfect for what I need it for

The mat keeps the carpet from getting worn under the computer chair when moving backward and forward.It grips the carpet well and therefore doesn't move around like other mats do.

Seems good but my last one cracked up after 5 years

I put a rug under it because I think the little spikes on the bottom will ruin the carpet

Wish I had read the reviews more carefully. Item is now cracked, with sections actually broken off. Terrible product.

This is an edit of my first review. The mat moved around on my medium pile carpet. Otherwise it was constructed well and had no flaws. Most impressive was the customer service provided by Iconik. They contacted me quickly and sought to remedy the situation, by sending another mat. The new mat was a different type, equally well made but also not quite what I needed. Without my asking, Iconik gave me a complete refund. While the product didn't suit my needs, I'm sure it will serve others well. I highly recommend Iconik mats.

We moved to a different house with a thicker heavier carpet so I had to change my office mat - and I needed a bigger mat and one that had the heavy spikes on the back. Now I want to make this very clear in this review- I use a a 500 pound office chair and I am a big person. And I am in this chair on this mat at least 50 hours a week.When it arrived it took a couple hours to straighten out, but once it was straightened out and put down, it has worked out well. The carpet is fairly thick but not like shag type carpet. Kinda a medium length cheap carpet style I have been using it for well over a month and I have not had any dents or indentations in the mat at all despite the large heavy chair and thick carpet. What I have had issue with is it slides around a bit. Its not overly annoying - just something I felt worth mentioning.It is super easy to clean, it cleans up well with a little all purpose cleaner and water. Overall for the price point I am pleased. I gave it 4 stars only because the spikes on the back need to be a shade longer so it doesn't slide around

Maybe I'm mistaken but I believe my carpet is a medium pile length. Either my interpretation is off or this really should only be marketed to small pile carpeting. It won't stay in place and I keep having to move it back where I need it.UPDATE 12/28/17 - the vendor reached out and sent me their "thicker higher quality pure polycarbonate chair mat for high pile carpet" for me to use. After using for a couple of weeks, it works much better at staying in place (still moves a little but good enough) on my low/med pile carpet so I'm revising my rating to 4 stars.Update 9/2/19 - multiple cracks and finally tried to remove the overly sticky sticker with goo gone but it made a mess and ruined the material since it took so many applications of goo gone. Do not recommend this mat.

I purchased the 40x38 mat. The price was much lower than other mats (44%off). Coupled with the many negative reviews I was concerned that the discounted price was a reflection of the quality. Made the purchase anyway, figuring I could return it if necessary. Received it yesterday. Box was unharmed from transit, item was unharmed as well. Rolled tightly enough to fit in box but loosely enough to not cack, break, or otherwise damage the product. The mat laid flat on my floor immediately after being removed from the box. It works wonderfully under my desk chair. I will note that I opted for the larger of the two sizes offered and I'm glad that I did. The bigger size allows for more movement with less risk of rolling off the edges and damaging the mat. Attached pictures with the chair on it so you can view the amount of available space with a relatively small size home office chair.

Original post.Extremely unhappy with this product. We bought 2 of these mats for our study and both have now broken/cracked through. They are only 6 months old. I will need to replace both. My previous mats from a different supplier lasted for years before they broke. These felt great at first. Very hard and rolled very smooth. But if they don't last I can not recommend them.11/14/2017 UPDATE. The supplier did contact me directly after this review. They were sorry I had trouble with the mats and gave me the choice of having new mats, which are designed for deeper pile (that is what they believed the issue was) sent directly to me or to refund my money. I am moving and will have hardwood floors in the new home so I choose to take the refund. The supplier was very responsive and friendly. As I said above they worked great until they broke through. So if the problem was indeed that I had the wrong mat for my carpet I would consider purchasing these again.
