I have been using this product for about a week now and all I can say is WOW. I really love it. There are a few pros and cons.PROS:• It will make your teeth whiter without making them sensitive to cold or heat.• It has a GREAT minty fresh taste.• It makes your breath fresh and your mouth feel good.• It is not chalky, or gritty like you would think it would be (like some toothpaste).• It really is a cool black color.• It comes with a cool black toothbrush that aids in the whole process.CONS:• It really is a black toothpaste. Very unsettling. Don’t open your mouth while brushing. LOL• When you spit, it is black and you realize you have been spitting toothpaste EVERYWHERE.• It does not have added fluoride so you have to supplement your fluoride with a rinse or just make do with the fluoride in the water supply.• That is really all of the cons….I have really bad tooth sensitivity because I have bruxism (I grind my teeth) and my tooth enamel is worn down so I cannot use normal whitening agents and my teeth are yellow. This has been a wonderful find for me. I have had a few people ask me if I had my teeth whitened and I told them about the toothpaste and they could not believe it. This product is well worth the few dollars you will spend on a tube of toothpaste and a toothbrush. I am attaching my beginning photo (dark blue shirt) and a 1-week photo (blue patterned shirt). I will try to update with a 1-month photo to show my progress. I was told by 2 different dentists that the only way I was going to have white teeth was to have crowns applied (I can’t have veneers because my enamel is to thin) Now I have HOPE, all because of a simple tube of toothpaste. Just WOW!!!

I was so excited to try it that I forgot to take a before and after photo. I'm a coffee fiend and a smoker as well and I could tell a difference after one use. Really does whitten. Not a huge fan of the consistency considering it doesnt foam like your typical tooth paste but I can adjust, it still feels clean. Taste is ok, not overwhelming (I got fresh mint) but not the worst. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the tube was not completely full. In a 4 oz bottle I'd say there are about 3 oz of the toothpaste. I like trying new charcoal tooth pastes to see which is better, this is my second brand so far. I personally liked the first one I ordered just a little better. I would order again only for whitening purposes but not if the bottle isnt going to be full. Over all happy with my purchase considering the price. Do wish the tube was full though.

A friend recommended this whitening charcoal toothpaste to me about three weeks ago and I was very excited to try it! I have been using this Activated Charcoal Toothpaste for of a couple weeks and wanted to share my experience. It came as a surprise to see black toothpaste (although I shouldn't have been surprised - it is charcoal based!) I can feel the difference in the way it cleans my teeth and find it to be a wonderful change. I know the whitening takes some time, but I do feel I am beginning to see a difference after a relatively short time. I would recommend this to others and, I want to tell you, your packaging and the black toothbrush are really fun! I will follow-up with more comments after I have used this for a couple of months. I tried this toothpaste a while ago after looking for a more natural alternative to the common brands in stores, and it was great. Then I tried other brands for a few months to compare, and nothing was as good as the carbon noir, so I ordered another tube. The differences were extremely apparent from the first use-The product in the first tube I bought was pitch black, a relatively loose consistency, and left a charcoal residue in my sink that took some extra rinsing to remove. The taste was mild and natural, and my teeth felt unbelievably clean. It was perfect for preventing plaque and tartar, and my breath was fresh for hours and hours. My teeth were whitened by a shade or two, but I was mostly impressed with how fresh and clean my teeth were. The second tube I bought was a medium gray color, a thick pasty consistency, and turns almost white while brushing. The old tube stayed pitch black through the entire brushing process. It tastes a little more minty, and I just can’t get my teeth to feel clean and my mouth to feel fresh no matter how long I scrub and brush. This new formula is literally on par with wetting a naked brush and just going to town. I’m so disappointed. I thought I found a brand I could be loyal to, but I have to keep looking.

the added toothbrush is a plus. I'd keep buying for that alone. it gets in between the teeth which I'm surprised, even left my gums a little raw the first couple days. not used to flossing, and I only wish there was a tongue scrubber on the head of the brush.I can't say it's made my teeth whiter, maybe I should use it twice a day instead of once.

I had been using my usual Toms of Maine toothpaste on a regular toothbrush that I dipped in activated charcoal, but it was making a huge mess. I liked what the charcoal was doing for my teeth so I wanted to keep using it in some capacity. I even tried mixing my own with coconut oil, charcoal, clay, and a dash of peppermint, but it has been so cold, it was just a solid brick.This popped up in a search and it was the perfect solution. I've only been using it for a few days but my teeth feel considerably cleaner. I really love the toothbrush this comes with. It has a rubberized grip with a large head and soft bristles and I really like that it's all black.

Good product. If you have realistic expectations this is a great product especially for the price. Lightens your teeth a few shades. It's certainly not the same as a professional whitening but what can you expect for less than $20. If you already have really white teeth you won't notice that much of a difference. I also like that it doesn't make my teeth sensitive. I've used whitening trays from my dentist in the past but my teeth get EXTREMELY sensitive so it is hard for me to use more than once every 3-4 months. I felt like this, when used 2x a day for a week gives me the same effect as when I used a whitening tray. I have already repurchased more of this product.

I actually love this toothpaste. It's got such a weird, strong taste, but I really like it. Like.....minty tea tree oil? I can't describe it. It's weird and nice. However, I've been using it twice daily for over a month, and my teeth are not noticeably whiter. I might try the powder form of this next. Or just give up the whole notion as a gimmick. But this toothpaste it tasty!
