I bought for 9yr old sleepover activity. I had assumed the icing sugar would have been ready mixed in a simple squeeze tube. However, just the icing sugar is supplied and you have to add egg white and (they advise) lemon juice or white vinegar. Having neither of the last two, we added vanilla . There was no explanation regarding the use of the plastic piping bag supplied. An adult would know to fold it in half before adding the mixture. Enthusiasm meant my granddaughter (immediately icing sugar determined as ready) grabbed the bag and started spooning in the icing sugar. This meant that the bag stuck together and then I realised that the end was sealed and had to be cut to pipe the icing sugar which was too stiff to do this, maybe because we hadn’t any lemon juice. We resorted to using a knife and spoon to adhere the joins and spread it around the roof after she took ages trying to fill the holes to adhere the supports for the pieces. Then the little people were added and the sweets. The end result looked ok but not as refined as the box picture. I hope this is of help if you are going to get one.

Delicious. Took away with us as we spent Christmas abroad. It survived the postal service and plane journey - well packaged.Didn’t have an egg to hand but the kids happily propped the pieces up and used the icing. Best part was eating! Delicious.

This is a nice kit, just as advertised. However on opening, the cellophane containing the gingerbread was torn so the gingerbread was very soft and it's going to need to be eaten very quickly. I would have returned for a replacement but my daughter had been looking forward to decorating it so we just did it anyway.

Kids loved building and eating their houses.

I bought it for a Christmas activity. It was not the easiest to assemble. For ease of putting together two people would be better as I struggled a little bit doing it on my own. The taste is not great if you want to eat it. If it is just for decoration it will be satisfactory.

Big pieces - and thick.No chance of it breaking while assembling.Love it - very tasty - good ginger taste.Excellent!!! So happy with what's left of it.
