APTO Skincare Healing Turmeric Mask

This is the second time I buy this mask - this is what works best for my breakouts by FAR!As other reviewers said - Yes, it tingles!! and I usually get some redness, because it has acids ...but it is totally bearable, and it means it's working!I only use it at night time, apply a thin layer, leave it for around 10-15min and then rinse it off and apply a gel moisturizer. In the morning, I get very clear skin. Also, I only use this mask in my problem areas (where I usually get pimples, etc); I've also used it in my back with great results as well..I love the color and the product texture (very smooth). I wish they would sell it in a bigger format, but I like the fact that it comes in a tube, it's way cleaner than jars, etc.All in, great product for peeps with oily / combination / acneic skin types

The APTO Healing Turmeric Mask is working wonders for my combination skin. I really like the tube packaging (way more hygienic than jars..) and the bright yellow color. It has a subtle, herbal smell - it does not bother me at all, on the contrary, it feels very natural. I apply the mask after I cleanse and tone my skin once per week - I only leave it for 5 minutes because it works fast. I personally just apply it to problematic areas where I have a breakout or pimple, or in the t-zone to help detoxify pores. I can feel the mask working right away, since it stings a bit. I prefer to use it at night because sometimes I do get some redness after I rinse it off. The results though are well worth it - my skin feels extra clean and breakouts go away way faster.PROS:*** Ingredients: I like the combination of natural ingredients like turmeric and neem with azelaic and salicylic acids*** It works! My skin heals faster and better and I feel it works as a preventative measure as wellCONS:*** Would like to be able to get a product with similar ingredients suitable for daily use (instead of just weekly)

My daughter and I have had some issues with breakouts and skin flare ups. We prefer more natural means of dealing with these problems, and this seemed like something worth trying. With one exception (a big one) this was nice stuff.WHAT IS THIS MASK LIKE?Natural in composition, this mask is in a clear plastic tube about 4 inches by 2 inches in size. There is a flip top on it which you are supposed to squeeze out the contents and apply to the skin. The mask is thin enough to spread but not watery. It is bright yellow (due to the turmeric which it contains). There is a slight fragrance to it, but it is only from natural ingredients and does not seem to be added or artificial in nature.HOW DOES THIS MASK PERFORM?The mask itself is easy to use. Spread around the face and/or put right on breakout areas, it does seem to be easy to use. You wait the 15 minutes required and then rinse or remove with cotton pads. We tried it both ways. Both of us have pretty sensitive skin and it did not give us any problems that we have gotten from some products.RESULTS?-increased circulation-clear up of blemishes by about half-skin feels renewed and refreshed (we did not notice any excessive redness or irritation)WARNING- THERE IS A PROBLEMThere is something that we experienced with this mask, however, that is a pretty awful problem. When trying to squeeze it through the opening in the front, the top seam split and this mask went everywhere. I would suggest that if you decide to try this that you have a small jar handy to keep it in. The broken seam is a problem- the mask will dry out over time. We simply put it in a tiny glass jar we had handy and still use it.THE BOTTOM LINENatural in composition and uncluttered by artificial scents, this mask seems to be very effective in curbing skin breakouts. Have a jar handy because the top seam split on this when trying to squeeze the mask out through the opening on the bottom.RATINGI took off a star for the tube, but the contents are nice enough to still give it four stars. Perhaps we got a bad one, it is hard to tell. However, this is still worth trying as long as you have storage handy should you have a similar problem with the tube.

I have no idea why I thought this was a peel-off mask, but it is not. You simply spread it on your entire face and after fifteen minutes you wipe off with damp cotton balls or a damp washcloth. The bottle says it is for all skin types. My face has mixed skin types and this worked well. My face looked and felt greasy while the product was on my face. It is colorless when it is on the face. No matter how much I wiped and rinsed though, I never felt as though the product came completely off.I read nothing inserted or on the bottle about how often it is safe to use. It does not state if you should wash your face first or not. (I used about twenty minutes after I got out of the shower.) There are warnings that your face may become reddish or that you may feel tingling during use and for a short time afterward. These warnings say for the user not to fear, this is normal and all will go away quickly. Personally, I never felt any tingle and my face did not turn red.The product is good, but not better than most everything out on the market. It IS a plus that you do not need cold cream or soap to remove.

I have been using this for about two weeks. It really does pull out the blemishes. Be aware that you may see more blemishes at first as it does its thing. I found my skin to be smoother and softer and the pores were somewhat reduced (but not dramatically). It didn't irritate my sensitive skin, but so far I haven't seen any improvement in my mild rosacea. It doesn't take very much at all so the small tube should last for a while.The smell is a little weird while you are using it, sort of pungent, but once you rinse it off, it doesn't linger.I will continue to use it and see how it does. I will revise my review if anything changes over the long term.
