This New York building set is wonderful. The bricks are small, so this is not for young children, and the build is a bit labor intensive, so it is not for those looking for a quick and easy build, but the finished product is stunning and a gorgeous display piece - especially if, like us, you collect skyline sets. Each piece is well made, there is no cracking, and all pieces were accounted for. They lock into one another very well, do not fall apart easily (we even dropped it after assembly and only had to rebuild a couple of pieces!), and fit together perfectly. I absolutely recommend this for serious builders and collectors.

If you're used to The Name Brand bricks, then these mini bricks are a major learning curve. The instructions walk you through the entire length of the set at once, one layer at a time. It definitely requires you to go about it slowly and methodically. I recommend having either a bunch of small-medium boxes, or something large with several compartments, so that you can separate the mini bricks by color, to at least make it a little easier to find the pieces that you need. It does make for a nice display piece when you're done, though!

These are very tiny pieces, will take me probably 2 days to put this together based on another one I built that had less pieces. That one took me the better of 12 hours to complete.. Have to be careful not to drop the pieces because then you are having to find them or you may be missing pieces.. I got a lot of extra in the other set I made but still worried me I would run out before I was completed. The pieces get everywhere so I recommend spending time and putting them in plastic shoeboxes by color before you start making them easier to find and harder to lose.. Pieces are very tiny and I would say maybe about 1/4 the size of Lego brand Lego if not smaller even close to 1/8.This is pretty fun, spent all night with quiet working on the first one, this one hasn't been started but now I know what I am getting into when I do start it so I can prepare better.. Fingers will be sore the next day but it super fun and worth it for a weekend project or spending a couple hours each night like a hard puzzle would take. Look forward to more, just maybe not this tiny very often..

I have limited space but love building sets. These micro blocks mean the sets are so much smaller, I can do many of them and line them up on a shelf where the big standard brick size sets would not fit! They're more challenging to build, but I just use a magnifying lamp and it does take a little longer.

This set made a great gift for out son who loves building more complex model and block sets. This is definitely more appropriate for older kids through adults. Fun to put together!

This architect's building block set of the New York City skyline is a cute idea and gift. Beware, this set contains mini-blocks. The finished product is small and relatively shallow, suitable for display, but challenging to assemble. The set arrived with all the blocks, but some were warped and difficult to use. I would only consider an advanced-level builder, and you may need extra pieces to complete. I chose two sets, and both had similar issues with warped pieces.
