Likely this will be the last manuel can opener you will ever buy. Although I've only used it once I can tell you that not only is this device well built but it makes short work of opening a can. At first it's a little ungainly because it's not what most people are used to. I believe that given time and use using it will become second nature and you'll wonder how and why you never got one of these before all the failed junk and money wasted. Well worth the price of admission to easy can opening paradise!

Easy to operate

Two weeks past the date I could return this the can open a fell completely apart see pictures. Absolutely worthless piece of junk as far as I'm concerned I may have used this can opener a dozen times since I've had it and now it's completely worthless as I fell apart and pieces scattered everywhere all over my kitchen. I'm in a wheelchair and there's no way I can retrieve all the pieces work with this back together so I totally wasted my money with an Amazon choice product again! Buyer beware!

It’s a good product and easy to use. But it slips off the can while trying to open ALOT.

Best handheld can opener I ever had.

This thing looks tough. I've opened 3 or 4 gallon cans. It is very touchy when getting the edge of the can. Basically where the lip and is. Have had to tilt the opener and feal for it to grab and start working. Otherwise it's handle just spins without engaging. Thus the handle just spins without engaging to start cutting the can open. The crank handle is awesome and give you lots of leverage. So once you do get it to engage it's somewhat great. The size of the grip handles is long enough that it allows for maximum gripping along with the oversized crank handle. The first can I opened was great. Then on the next can I went to start cranking. It just felt like it was spinning freely like it was broken. So I worked on repositioning and experimenting with the angle and lip of the can. Felt a little bit of disappointment. Because all of the fancy Walmart and other stores higher priced openers have been hard to grip and to turn the crank. Have had frustration with can opener after can opener. I purchase gallon can of fruit,beans, and vegetables because of the huge savings. Of course the big cans have more weight and are enough of a size to make you want easier opening. Unfortunately this is not a perfect world. Because of the bigger cans. Feel at this point I need to give it more of a chance. You need to make sure the can is on a flat non-abrasive surface. If it slips and slides to a tilt. You need to stop and put it flat and away from the edge. Feel the size of the opener is very awesome. The crank handle is also awesome. So in defense of the product. It is a beefy and shouldn't need to be any bigger. There is probably bigger ones out there. Also the price is very reasonable compared to everything else. Considering most people like the electric can openers. Challenging everyone else to try it and post your reviews also. I'm all about reading reviews and doing research.Well good luck.
