Best survival water filter out in the market
I bought the straw water filter for an upcoming trip involving a lot of trekking and potential limited water supplies. I’m also trying to cut down on plastic waste. The filter is pretty much ready to use out of the box. It’s very easy to set up, clean (with no chemicals, unless using a small amount of vinegar), backflush and store. The quick flow-rate, 0.1 micron filtration and long lifespan large filtration capacity really sets this filter above its competitors. It's small and lightweight, easy to use and has a pretty decent steady flow rate, without requiring too much effort. There’s literally nothing to replace for the filter, so it’s quite easy to maintain. To clean, you just need to fill the backwash syringe with clean water and squirt water through the mouthpiece until the water runs clear. This stops the flow rate decreasing for when you need it during a trek or camp. They are cheap compared to most competitors as well as lasting a lot longer. I’ve bought a few spare filters to store at home and in the car just in case of emergencies. AquaHike say the filters last for 5,000 litres, which should cover me for life, as I doubt I’ll ever need to filter that much water. I tried to get my hands on some spare bladder bags, which I couldn’t see on their Amazon UK store. I contacted the company directly who could not have been more friendly and helpful - dan from customer service was great and something that seems to have gone missing from most retailers these days, so fair play to these guys!Their website also has useful tips on how to use the product safely and how to stop the parts freezing in sub-zero temperatures (tip: shake as much water from the filter as possible and then keep them close to your body in your bag, or in your jacket).I did a lot of research on the best water filter beforehand and this won hands down with youtubers and trekkers and has so far lived up to the hype.If I was to be overly critical, the only small issue I can find is that the collection bag is a bit difficult to fill, but the trick is to find a running stream or source, put under and fill directly from there. I'm willing to live with it if it gives me clean, fresh water!

Life saving - literally!
Took this with me when I went on my hike and camp through the Lake District. Absolutely perfect! Super light weight so I didn't have to carry a big bottle of water with me. Something about drinking directly from the lake just felt so fresh and beautiful, knowing im doing it safely too from this straw is great. Would recommend to anyone

Right choice for what I needed
The media could not be loaded. Out of all the options I was considering for my water filter like Lifestraw and Waterdrop , I found that the Aquahike straw filter was one of the best options for its price because it had dual ability of being a straw and being attached to a bottle which has been a main consideration for my choosing of the Aquahike straw. It was easy and fast to attach to the bottle. It also came with the straw tube and backwash syringe to clean it which will come in handy.I tested it quite intensely with some filthy mud mixed with water because I was curious to see if it would be clear like in the pictures and was quite pleased with how clear the water came out and how fast it was filtering at as well. This becomes so easy when I’m trying to boil a cup of water when on my camping trips for a cup of tea.I personally boil my water before drinking it so the taste of the water taste relatively normal.Overall it’s a good water filter that should be a staple to everyone’s camping supplies and survival pack in the case of emergencies especially.

Handy little device!
So easy to use and easy to clean! I brought this on my recent multi day hike and it was the perfect tool, especially with it being so lightweight. It was nice to have peace of mind that I was getting clean water while out and about. I keep this in my car everywhere I go! Also super fast delivery. I’ve already recommend the AquaHike straw to many friends.

Very pleased-excellent bit of kit!
This is a great bit of kit. Water has pure taste-have done a test on my chlorine tasting tap water at home and it works brilliantly.Looking forward to taking it on holidays as lots of undrinkable tap water warnings when abroad. This is compact, easy to use and lightweight. Wish I'd found this years ago!

Robust system
This device is well suited for filling normal size drinks bottles, and if I am unsure of the water will take the time to use it. The filter works well and had a good life span. Worth the money. PEACE
