I was a skeptic because of the price but glad I read the reviews and went with it. Have been using for a month now. I have a heavy beard and have never had 100% success with any electric razor on my neck. This does a GREAT job on the rest of my face and I give it an 85% on my neck area. Extremely close shave everywhere else and I have tried a lot of them over the years. I’m 53. Battery life is awesome!! I shave every few days and just today noticed that the led indicator finally went down a notch. It is heavier than most but I don’t mind with that kind of battery life. I find it’s best to shave every day because after several days it tends to tug on the facial hair and hurts a bit. This is true of all razors though. I make a pass with the grain a few times and then a back and forth motion gets the rest very smooth. As smooth as a razor does!! Cleans very easily as well. Will need to use for a while longer to see how long the blades stay sharp but time will tell. Can’t beat it for the price. Comes well packaged with charger and cleaning brush and the presentation is very nice. Hope this helps.

Shaves nice and close to the skin, yet doesn’t cause any skin irritation (when used properly). It is possible to cause skin irritation with it, but you have to press the shaver hard against your skin, which is not advised and not necessary.Works wet or dry, that’s a plus.Battery life seems great so far. I’ve been using it 3-4 times/week for a few weeks, and it’s not even close to needing a charge. However, I only use this shaver on my neck below my beard, so your experience may vary.It is rather heavy and has a metal build construction, which gives it a great sense of solidity and quality. For travel/portability though, it’s maybe a little bit heavy for some. I don’t mind it, as it is still quite compact and easy slides into travel bag.One of the main reasons I chose this shaver was because AW offers replacement shaver heads for it. This ensures that the shaver isn’t a disposable item, unlike other similar products I was considering.The price is spot on. Sure, this shaver doesn’t have all the newest features and gimmicks, but if you’re just looking for a high quality, effective, simple electric shaver, this does the job perfectly.I only wish it came in other colors, such as silver or black. The good is a little flashy for me, but hey, it’s not like you’re going to carry it around in public or anything, lol.

In the last six months, I’ve spent over a hundred dollars on two different electric razors, hoping for a close shave. Both had 4 star plus ratings, and both times I was disappointed. I recently spent several hours researching the various options and brands on Amazon, four stars and better. There were only a few with five- star ratings, and most of those had reviews in the teens. AW had 214 reviews, with only three or four negative reviews (3 stars or less). After trying the razor, I can only assume the negative reviews came from competitors trying to drive down the ratings of this razor.I got my AW Razor yesterday around 2 in the afternoon. I hadn’t shaved for three days, so I had a reasonable stubble ready for a test. Without any pre-shave prep, I took the razor straight from the box, turned it on and made the first pass down my cheek. I could not believe the noticeable difference, after just that one pass. I continued shaving and continued being impressed. The resulting shave was so close, that my wife could even feel the difference compared to my previous razors.Later that same afternoon around 6 pm we went to dinner, and spent the evening with friends, returning home about 10 o’clock. I ran my hand over my face and could barely feel the beginning of a stubble about 8 hours after the initial shave.Additionally, I have an issue that has been a problem for me when using an electric razor. My neck is fused, and I can’t look up to stretch my neck for shaving. This makes it difficult to reach the area under my chin on my neck, with an electric razor, and results in a poor job of shaving. Although it is still a challenge with the AW razor, the razor is effective in shaving that area. I am pleased.Positive…An amazingly close shave with an electric razor. The razor is reasonably quiet. I think it has a rich elegant appearance, making it look more expensive than it really is. I’ve read comments that say it is heavy…yes, it is heavier than most comparable razors, but to me it was not an issue. The razor was comfortable to use.Negative…If I had to say there was a negative, it would be that there is no trimmer. Because of all the good things about this razor, I could care less if it has a trimmer or not. I’ll make do without a trimmer.Would I recommend this razor to someone else…absolutely, without hesitation. If I were going to buy a razor for someone as a gift, this would be the one. Five Stars *****

Heaviest shaver I ever owned. A measure of good construction! Gives a closer shave than other electrics. What a shiny finish! Recharges on a very convenient outlet, and runs for 90 minutes. Easy to clean. Most important, it is of quality construction, and should last a long time. Price is good, too!
