I was scared it wouldn't be what I expected, but they were excellent. Use it but three times, and they worked like a dream. I recommend these for your first professional shears.

As the sister of a professional stylist, I know how expensive a good pair of shears can cost. They are an investment and require maintenance, including regular professional sharpening. I wouldn’t have ordered shears this nice for at-home use had they not been offered through the Vine program, but I am delighted to have them and extremely impressed with the quality. My shears arrived sharp and performed perfectly right out of the box. You can hear the quality when you use them, it is unmistakable.

I was extremely disappointed with these shears. They are not sharp. I expected more out of a Japanese product.

The shears are sharp! They look snazzy while cutting. Don't put these down if you are going to use them in the shop. They might come up missing.They have a nice weight. These will not fly off your hand because they are too light. The finger rests are comfortable. All three fingers have a home that feels natural. The tips are rounded so you won't accidentally stab yourself. The blades are another matter entirely. They are very sharp and sharpening service is available.They come with a microfiber cloth and lubricating oil. The oiler looks nice as well. It has a brush on it. Silicone scissor rings are included.It also comes in a box nice enough for gift giving.

I probably would not have paid over $100 for a pair of scissors had these not been offered by Amazon Vine to try at no cost. I am not a hair stylist, so perhaps they are used to paying for high-cost scissors.Nonetheless, I was lucky enough to get these to try, and what I can say is that they feel really good in the hands. The steel feels sturdy, and the blades are sharp. They are housed in a nice box for safekeeping. Made in Japan, these scissors are durable enough to last for many years. Quality workmanship.

Maybe I just don't know any better, but they sure have impressed me. They also come with a sort of, "Maintenance Kit," that includes a particular micro fiber cloth, some Shear Lubrication Oil, two little rubber round things, and some brief instructions on how to maintenance the shears. One thing worth mentioning, is that the microfiber cloth is nothing like the kind we usually get with cheap, or even expensive sunglasses. It is something a bit more serious. And the two little rubber round things? Obviously I'm new to this since I didn't know what they were for right away, but I'd assume that they are for the finger holes, to add grip to them perhaps.Anyway, I do see on the back of their, "Maintenance Guide," that we can all PURCHASE their sharpening service... Now that makes me really wonder after reading that negative review. Now, I'm going to give them the 5 stars still, because I'm not a professional and I can't say for sure. However, if YOU are a professional, maybe be a little cautious. I'm just saying, what a layman like me might consider sharp, might be considered dull by professionals. I just have no way of knowing with my current level of knowledge, lol.

These are very high-quality cutting scissors. I was impressed with how well they cut. They're lightweight and easy to maneuver. They also come in a fancy box that you can keep to store the scissors in.
