This is my go to seasoning for literally every savory food I eat now. I even ate spoonfuls of it by itself because it’s got such a tart fragrant taste lol.I’m sure I’m not using this as intended but it’s so versatile it can be put on anything! My favorite way to use it is directly on my salads. I also put this on olive oil and mix it up and make a dressing for chicken or fish. Goes great on grapefruit as well. I went through the whole jar in 3 weeks. And it’s a massive jar of product for the price - I was surprised at how much they give you! High quality, pure berry goodness. No weird ingredients. Love this :)

I had purchased this exact same brand from my local Persian grocery store and yes it was a bit less expensive HOWEVER, I had run out of sumac and wished for more and did not want to waste gas for one purchase. This is exactly what I would have purchased from my local store but I would have had to drive and park for one item. This is perfect! So happy to find on Amazon and will definitely purchase again as I use this for cooking and absolutely love it in my rice!

This tastes pretty good, but I'm 90% sure it has a large cinnamon content despite not being listed. I got the 16 oz jar because the last brand of sumac I'd gotten came in a bag and was difficult to reseal particularly with wet hands while cooking. I haven't cooked with this yet, but a quick smell and tasting a few pinches has me convinced this is somewhere between 1/8th and 1/3 cinnamon. It tastes pretty good and pretty fresh, I often combine cinnamon with sumac, but feel if that's what this is it should absolutely say so. If someone is allergic to cinnamon, I'd discourage this product. The ingredient list is identical to the one in the ad, but I don't believe them. I've used another brand of ground sumac and grew up sucking on sumac berries at the family farm up North. In theory, I should know sumac pretty freaking well. This lacks some of the expected tartness. While tasting, it does have an initial sour/salivary response, but the mouth is left feeling somewhat clammy as it would from sampling cinnamon or cumin, that didn't happen with other ground sumac I'm familiar with.
